The hitch includes: four 3/8-16 UNC hex head cap screws 1-1/2" long (part 10-10234); one 7/16-14 UNC hex head cap screw 2-1/2" long (part 10-10442); one 7/16-14 UNC hex nut (part 20-00147); four 3/8-16 UNC hex nuts (part 20-00166); four 3/8" lock washers (part 30-00130); one 7/16" lock washer (part 30-00184); four 3/8" flat washers (part 30-00205); and one 0.188 x 1.50 x 3.00" round hole spacer (part CM-SP34).
1. Clear the vehicle's tire well for drilling. 2. Place the hitch on the tow loop with side plates against the tire well sides; install 7/16" fasteners using the SP51 spacer under the tow loop, snug only. 3. Adjust the hitch to be level and square, then mark the tire well in two places on each side. 4. Remove the hitch and drill for 3/8" bolts; reposition and install all fasteners with large fender washers inside the tire well. 5. Torque fasteners to specification. 6. Reinstall the spare tire.
Torque the 7/16" fasteners to 70 ft-lb.
Torque the 3/8" fasteners to 45 ft-lb.
The 0.188 x 1.50 x 3.00" round hole spacer (part CM-SP34) is installed under the tow loop when installing the 7/16" fasteners during step 2 of the installation process.
The large fender washers (3/8" flat washers, part 30-00205) install inside the tire well opposite the hitch during step 4 of the installation process.
All non-trailer loads applied to this hitch must be supported by auxiliary stabilizing straps. Failure to properly support non-trailer loads will void the product warranty.
Do not exceed the vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity. The hitch has a maximum gross load capacity, but you must also comply with your vehicle's factory towing limits, whichever is lower.
