Install hitch onto bumper beam support rails with nut plates (step 4). 5. Reinstall bumper beam with carriage bolts and flange nuts (step 5). 6. Torque all fasteners (step 6). 7. Trim bumper fascia (step 7). 8. Reinstall heat shield, exhaust, bumper fascia, and tail lights (step 8).

Remove both tail lights by using a socket through the port on the inside of the trunk. Rotate the light out of place carefully so the tabs on the back side stay intact. Rotate then pull straight out from the side to remove the lens. Then remove 2 torx screws from beneath each tail light (one short black, one long silver).
Using a screwdriver, pop off the plastic covers inside the trunk to access the 2 hex nuts. Use a 10mm deep well socket to remove them. The socket must be deep enough so it will not bottom out on the post. Use a magnetic arm to catch the nuts so they do not fall.
