(4) Press hitch against bumper beam bottom, center on vehicle, and mark hole locations using hitch as template. (5) Lower hitch and drill marked locations, starting with small pilot holes. (6) Fishwire 1/2-13 x 2" carriage bolts and SP6 spacers through access holes between fascia and bumper beam, then raise hitch and secure with 1/2-13 flange nuts. (7) Torque all 1/2" fasteners to 75 ft-lbs and re-install fasteners removed in step 1.
Fishwire is a flexible wire tool included with the hitch (2 pieces of 1/2" fishwire per parts list). It is used to route the 1/2-13 x 2" carriage bolts and SP6 spacers through the access holes between the fascia and the back of the bumper beam, and out through the holes drilled in the bumper beam. This allows you to secure the hitch without removing the bumper fascia.
