Hitch 11464 is designed for use with ball mount #45521. Euro mount options are available: #45571 (1 7/8" ball) and #45572 (2" ball).
You will need: a ratchet, a torque wrench, an 11/16" socket, and a 6" socket extension. Safety glasses should be worn at all times during installation.
The hitch includes: (4) 7/16-14 UNC carriage bolts (part 10-10281), (4) .250 x .88 x 2.25" square hole spacers (part CM-SP2), (4) 7/16-14 UNC serrated flange nuts (part 20-00103), and (4) 7/16" fishwires (part 7_16 FISHWIRE).
No, drilling is not required. The hitch uses fishwire hardware to attach through existing access holes in the frame rails.
Two people may be required to ease installation, though it may be possible for one person to complete the task.
1. Fishwire (2) 7/16 carriage bolts and (2) CM-SP2 spacers through the access holes and into the attachment holes in each frame rail. Note: the driver side frame rail requires a reverse fishwire for the rearmost attachment location. 2. Raise the hitch into position, feeding fishwires through holes in the hitch. Remove fishwires and secure the hitch with (4) 7/16 hex flange nuts. 3. Torque all hardware to 60 ft.-lbs.
A reverse fishwire is required for the driver side frame rail at the rearmost attachment location. The manual references a reverse fishwire diagram for installation details.
All hardware must be torqued to 60 ft.-lbs.
All non-trailer (wheel-less) loads applied to this hitch must be supported by CURT stabilizing straps part 18050. Failure to properly support non-trailer loads will void the product warranty.
