They make it easy to hitch up and Bring It, offering a vehicle-specific fit and the weight capacity to handle a variety of trailers. Custom class 3 hitches are the most common type of receiver hitch for pickup trucks and SUVs. Because of their weight range, they are also found on full-size cars, crossovers and minivans. Each custom-fit class 3 hitch package is made for vehicle-specific mounting. This particular kit fits certain years of the Honda Passport, Isuzu Axiom and Isuzu Rodeo (see application info to verify vehicle compatibility). It provides a weight carrying capacity of 4,000 lbs. GTW and 400 lbs. TW. It is also compatible with a weight distribution hitch for level towing and a rating of 6,000 lbs. WD and 600 lbs. WDTW. CURT class 3 trailer hitches are typically used to attach and haul utility trailers, boat trailers, campers, snowmobile or ATV haulers and more (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest-rated towing component). Each class 3 hitch has a 2" receiver tube and is tested in accordance with SAE J684 for safety. To ensure that CURT class 3 receiver hitches have what it takes for serious trailering, they are designed using a hands-on approach and are constructed with rugged, high-strength steel and precise welding. We also protect our class 3 hitches in a co-cured finish of liquid A-coat and black powder coat for superior resistance to rust, chipping and UV damage.

The Curt 13222 includes: one 1/2" fishwire carriage bolt, six 5/8" flat washers, three 5/8" hex head cap screws (HHCS) grade 8, two 1/2" S-con washers, two M12x1.25 hex head cap screws class 10.9, one 1/2-13 UNC serrated flange nut grade 8, one 0.250 x 1.50 x 2.00" square hole spacer, one 1/2-13 UNC carriage bolt grade 8, and three 5/8-11 UNC serrated flange nuts grade 8.
No, drilling is not required. The Curt 13222 uses existing weldnuts in the vehicle frame on the passenger side and existing slots in the tow hook mounting pad on the driver side.

Position the hitch on the vehicle as shown in the diagram, aligning the holes in the hitch with the existing weldnuts in the vehicle frame on the passenger side and the slots in the tow hook mounting pad on the driver side. Loosely install the hex bolts before tightening.
The fishwire carriage bolt and spacer are installed through the end of the frame on the passenger side. This fastener helps secure the hitch at that mounting point.
Tighten fasteners in this order: 1) fasteners on the driver side, 2) fastener on the side of the frame on the passenger side, 3) fasteners on the bottom of the frame on the passenger side last. This sequence ensures proper alignment and seating.
Use two 5/8" flat washers for spacing between the hitch and tow hook mounting pad on the driver side.
Torque specifications for the Curt 13222 are: M12 fasteners to 86 lb-ft, 1/2" fasteners to 110 lb-ft, and 5/8" fasteners to 210 lb-ft.
