Whatever your task at hand -- whether it's launching that boat before daybreak, setting up your camper before the rush or getting a final load to the dump before close -- CURT class 3 trailer hitches offer the strength needed for serious towing. They make it easy to hitch up and Bring It, offering a vehicle-specific fit and the weight capacity to handle a variety of trailers. Custom class 3 hitches are the most common type of receiver hitch for pickup trucks and SUVs. Because of their weight range, they are also found on full-size cars, crossovers and minivans. Each custom-fit class 3 hitch package is made for vehicle-specific mounting. This particular kit fits certain years of the Chrysler 300, Dodge Challenger, Dodge Charger and Dodge Magnum (see application info to verify vehicle compatibility). It provides a weight carrying capacity of 3,500 lbs. GTW and 350 lbs. TW. CURT class 3 trailer hitches are typically used to attach and haul utility trailers, boat trailers, campers, snowmobile or ATV haulers and more (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest-rated towing component). Each class 3 hitch has a 2" receiver tube and is tested in accordance with SAE J684 for safety. To ensure that CURT class 3 receiver hitches have what it takes for serious trailering, they are designed using a hands-on approach and are constructed with rugged, high-strength steel and precise welding. We also protect our class 3 hitches in a co-cured finish of liquid A-coat and black powder coat for superior resistance to rust, chipping and UV damage.
Trailer hitch weight ratings are limited to vehicle manufacturer's stated capacities

The 2006-2010 Dodge Charger All CURT Class 3 Hitch, 2" (Part #CHD-13465-003) Refer to the included instructions for installation details. Basic hand tools are typically all you need.
Yes, part 13465 fits Chrysler 300 Limited and 300C models, as well as Magnum RT/SXT/SE, Charger R/T, and Challenger. Installation requires lowering the exhaust system: on 300 Limited models, remove 2 hangers and 1 rubber mount; on 300C and Magnum with dual exhaust, remove 4 hangers and 2 rubber mounts.
The kit includes: 3× M12×1.75×40mm hex head cap screws (grade 10.9), 3× 1/2" S-CON washers, 3× 1/2"-13 UNC serrated flange nuts (grade 8), 3× 0.188×1.00×3.00" square hole spacers, 3× 1/2"-13 UNC carriage bolts 1-3/4" long (grade 8), and 1× 1/2" fishwire.
No, drilling is not required. The hitch uses existing frame holes and fishwire fasteners to secure the carriage bolts and spacer blocks.
Torque all 1/2" fasteners to 110 lb-ft and all 12mm fasteners to 79 lb-ft. All fasteners must be initially installed finger-tight only, then torqued to final specification in step 5.
You do not need to fully remove the exhaust, but you must lower it. On 300 Limited models, remove 2 exhaust hangers and 1 rubber mount. On 300C and Magnum with dual exhaust, remove 4 hangers and 2 rubber mounts. Reinstall these after the hitch is secured.
The manual does not specify the gross load capacity or tongue weight for this hitch. Do not exceed your vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity. Contact Curt Technical Support at 1-877-287-8634 for capacity information.
Non-trailer loads applied to this hitch must be supported by auxiliary stabilizing straps. Failure to properly support non-trailer loads will void the product warranty.
Curt part 13465 is designed for Chrysler 300 Limited, 300C, Magnum RT/SXT/SE, Charger R/T, and Challenger. The installation procedure varies slightly depending on exhaust configuration: 300 Limited has a single exhaust with 2 hangers and 1 rubber mount, while 300C and Magnum models with dual exhaust have 4 hangers and 2 rubber mounts.
The exhaust system must be lowered to allow the hitch to slide into position. On Chrysler 300 Limited models, remove the 2 exhaust hangers and 1 rubber mount. On 300C and Dodge Magnum models with dual exhaust, remove 4 hangers and 2 rubber mounts. After the hitch is secured, reinstall all removed hangers and mounts.
1. Lower the exhaust by removing hangers and rubber mounts (step 1). 2. Thread the 1/2" fishwire, carriage bolts, and spacer blocks through existing frame holes (step 2). 3. Slide the hitch over the muffler(s) and into position over the carriage bolts (step 3). 4. Secure with flange nuts, finger-tight only (step 3). 5. Install 12mm hex bolts and conical washers in remaining holes, finger-tight only (step 4). 6. Torque all 1/2" fasteners to 110 lb-ft and all 12mm fasteners to 79 lb-ft (step 5). 7. Reinstall exhaust hangers and mounts (step 6).
Installing fasteners finger-tight first allows the hitch to be positioned and aligned properly before final torquing. This ensures all components are correctly seated and aligned before applying full torque, which helps prevent misalignment and ensures even load distribution across all fasteners.
All 1/2" fasteners are torqued to 110 lb-ft. These are the 1/2"-13 UNC carriage bolts (part 10-10272) that pass through the frame holes and are secured with 1/2"-13 UNC serrated flange nuts (part 20-00062).
All 12mm fasteners are torqued to 79 lb-ft. These are the M12×1.75×40mm hex head cap screws (part 10-10386, grade 10.9) installed with S-CON washers (part 30-00149) in the remaining hitch holes.
Three 0.188×1.00×3.00" square hole spacers (part CM-SP40) are included to maintain proper spacing and alignment when threading the 1/2" carriage bolts and fishwire through the existing frame holes before sliding the hitch into position.
Fishwire is a flexible wire tool used to thread fasteners through existing frame holes that are not directly accessible. On this hitch, the 1/2" fishwire (part 1_2 FISHWIRE) is used to guide the carriage bolts and spacer blocks through the frame holes before the hitch is slid into final position.
Periodically check the receiver hitch to ensure that all fasteners are tight and that all structural components are sound. This helps maintain safe operation and prevent loosening due to vibration and use.
