All of our custom hitches are designed for a vehicle-specific fit, manufactured with pride, finished for industry-leading rust resistance and tested to rigorous SAE J684 standards for safety. This class 1 trailer hitch and ball mount combination is designed for a custom fit on select years of the Scion xD (see application info to verify fitment). The hitch integrates with the vehicle's frame and provides a useful and dependable 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" receiver. The receiver is perfect for attaching the included ball mount and towing a small trailer, or for adding cargo space with a hitch-mounted cargo carrier, bike rack or other accessory. This particular class 1 hitch is rated for 2,000 pounds gross trailer weight and 200 pounds tongue weight (never exceed the lowest-rated towing component). The ball mount included with this trailer hitch quickly and easily installs into the hitch receiver and has a 3/4" trailer ball hole (trailer ball not included). It can be mounted in the rise or drop position to promote level towing. Like all CURT custom hitches, this class 1 hitch is protected with our co-cured finishing process. It is descaled for a smooth surface, immersed in liquid A-coat for rust resistance inside and out, covered with a durable black powder coat and finally co-cured for an industry-leading rust, chip and UV-resistant shield. No matter where you're headed or which season of the year you’re towing in, this CURT hitch is equipped for long-lasting resilience to the elements. It features an open-back receiver for easy cleaning, and it comes with all the hardware necessary for the installation.

Yes, if an underbody panel is present, you must remove it by removing 7 push-button fasteners in Step 1. You can then return the panel to the vehicle owner or trim and reinstall it in Step 5 if you select the optional trimming option.

Remove 2 existing 8mm fasteners from the frame (one from each side: driver side and passenger side frame rail). Return these fasteners to the vehicle owner. These are replaced by the supplied fasteners during installation.
After removing the underbody panel and existing 8mm fasteners, raise the hitch into position over the exhaust and loosely install all supplied fasteners as shown in the diagram. Do not fully tighten them yet. Once all fasteners are in place, torque them to their specified values in Step 4.
Torque all 8mm fasteners to 23 ft-lbs, all 3/8" fasteners to 45 ft-lbs, and all 5/8" fasteners to 210 ft-lbs. Use a torque wrench to ensure proper tightness. Refer to the parts list to identify which fasteners correspond to each size.
No, drilling is not required. The CURT 11134 uses existing frame attachment points and does not require any holes to be drilled in the vehicle frame.
Underbody panel trimming is optional. If you choose to trim the panel, remove it in Step 1, trim it according to the trim diagram (dimensions approximately 3 5/8" x 1 5/8" x 1 5/8"), and reinstall it in Step 5. Check fit prior to completing the trim. You can also return the untrimmed panel to the vehicle owner.
Safety glasses must be worn at all times while installing this product. Read all instructions thoroughly before beginning installation. If you are hesitant to undertake this task, contact an authorized CURT installer.
All non-trailer loads (wheel-less loads) applied to this hitch must be supported by CURT 18050 stabilizing straps. Failure to properly support non-trailer loads will void the product warranty. CURT recommends the use of 18050 stabilizing straps for all non-trailer loads.
After installation is complete, verify that all fasteners are properly torqued to their specified values (8mm to 23 ft-lbs, 3/8" to 45 ft-lbs, 5/8" to 210 ft-lbs). Ensure the hitch is positioned correctly over the exhaust and that all structural components are sound.
Periodically check the receiver hitch to ensure all fasteners are tight and all structural components are sound. Regular inspection helps maintain the integrity and safety of the hitch during use.
The kit includes: 2 M8 - 1.25 x 45 hex bolts, 2 3/8" washers, 2 3/8" lock washers, 2 3/8-16 x 1 1/2 hex bolts, 2 HFN3816 hex flange nuts, 2 5/8 - 11 x 2 hex bolts, 2 5/8" wide washers, and 2 5/8-11 hex flange nuts. All fasteners are supplied; no additional hardware is needed.
Return the 2 existing 8mm fasteners that you remove from the frame in Step 2 to the vehicle owner. These are factory fasteners and should not be discarded.
