However you define adventure -- whether it's climbing onto the back of a mountain bike, hunting from the top of a tree stand or camping with the family a long way from nowhere -- CURT class 1 hitches provide a light-duty towing receiver to help you Bring It. Each is made to fit a specific vehicle, providing easier installation, a better fit and optimal towing capacity. Custom class 1 trailer hitches are available for a variety of smaller vehicle types, including the compact car, crossover, minivan and small SUV. This particular class 1 hitch is designed to be a custom hitch for certain years of the Fiat 500 (to verify vehicle compatibility, see the CURT application guide at curtmfg.com). Tested in accordance with SAE J684, it offers a weight carrying capacity of 2,000 lbs. GTW and 200 lbs. TW. It is equipped with 1-1/4" receiver tube opening to accept a ball mount shank or other hitch mount. This class 1 hitch also comes with all necessary mounting hardware. With its lightweight design and smaller receiver tube size, a class 1 hitch is especially useful for adding cargo space with a hitch-mounted bike rack or cargo carrier. They can also typically be used to tow small trailers such as a utility trailer, kayak trailer or teardrop camper (never exceed the lowest weight capacity of any towing component; i.e. the vehicle, hitch, trailer, etc). Though CURT class 1 trailer hitches are only intended for light-duty towing, we apply the same principles of quality as we do to the rest of our rear mount hitches. Each class 1 hitch is made with hands-on engineering, high-strength steel and precise welding. We use a co-cured finish of liquid A-coat, inside and out, and durable black powder coat to provide a lasting defense against rust, chips and UV rays.

CURT 11363 has a gross load capacity of 2,000 lbs trailer weight and 200 lbs tongue weight when used as a weight-carrying hitch. However, you must never exceed your vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity, which may be lower.
Required tools are: 7/16" drill bit, power drill, 11 mm socket, 13 mm socket, 11/16" socket, ratchet, torque wrench, safety glasses, pry bar, and aviation shears. A 7/16" fishwire is also needed for hardware installation.

Two people may be required to ease installation. The manual recommends reading all instructions thoroughly before beginning and notes that using proper tools will improve installation quality and reduce time required.
If your FIAT 500 is equipped with a spare tire, you must remove two bolts that attach the spare tire control box to the passenger side frame rail. If your vehicle does not have the spare tire option, weldnuts can be found by removing protective tape from the frame rail.
Yes. Using a 7/16" drill bit, you must enlarge the hole at the end of the driver side frame rail. A power drill is required for this step.
Yes. The heat shield must be modified and reinstalled. Remove the heat shield by removing four hex nuts, trim it as shown in the trim diagram, then reinstall it using only two of the original hex nuts. Discard the other two hex nuts.
Only on 500 Turbo models. The center fin portion of the rear fascia must be trimmed at the bottom before the hitch can be installed. Refer to the trim diagram in the manual for exact trimming dimensions.
Yes. Lower the exhaust by removing the rubber exhaust hanger from the hanger rod at two places. After installation is complete, raise the exhaust back into position by reattaching the rubber exhaust hangers to the hanger rods.
Torque all 7/16" fasteners (carriage bolts and flanged hex nuts on driver side) to 59 lb.-ft. Torque all M8 fasteners (hex bolts on passenger side) to 23 lb.-ft.
The kit includes: 2× M8×1.25×30 hex cap screws (10-10440), 2× toothed washers (30-00148), 2× 7/16" fishwire, 2× 7/16"-14 UNC serrated flange nuts (20-00103), 2× 7/16"-14 UNC 1-1/4" carriage bolts (10-10281), and 2× spacers (CM-SP2).

CURT 11363 is designed for use with ballmount #D-55001/45501. Euro mount options are available: #45571 (1 7/8" ball) and #45572 (2" ball).
