All of our custom hitches are designed for a vehicle-specific fit, manufactured with pride, finished for industry-leading rust resistance and tested to rigorous SAE J684 standards for safety. This class 1 trailer hitch and ball mount combination is designed for a custom fit on select years of the Acura CSX, Acura ILX and Honda Civic (see application info to verify fitment). The hitch integrates with the vehicle's frame and provides a useful and dependable 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" receiver. The receiver is perfect for attaching the included ball mount and towing a small trailer, or for adding cargo space with a hitch-mounted cargo carrier, bike rack or other accessory. This particular class 1 hitch is rated for 2,000 pounds gross trailer weight and 200 pounds tongue weight (never exceed the lowest-rated towing component). The ball mount included with this trailer hitch quickly and easily installs into the hitch receiver and has a 3/4" trailer ball hole (trailer ball not included). It can be mounted in the rise or drop position to promote level towing. Like all CURT custom hitches, this class 1 hitch is protected with our co-cured finishing process. It is descaled for a smooth surface, immersed in liquid A-coat for rust resistance inside and out, covered with a durable black powder coat and finally co-cured for an industry-leading rust, chip and UV-resistant shield. No matter where you're headed or which season of the year you’re towing in, this CURT hitch is equipped for long-lasting resilience to the elements. It features an open-back receiver for easy cleaning, and it comes with all the hardware necessary for the installation.

The CURT 11391 is rated for 2,000 lbs trailer weight and 200 lbs tongue weight when used as a weight-carrying hitch. However, you must never exceed your vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity, which may be lower.
The CURT 11391 is designed for use with ballmount part number 45501. Euro mount options are also available: part 45571 (1-7/8" ball) and part 45572 (2" ball).
Required tools are: torque wrench, ratchet, sockets (10mm, 9/16", 11/16", 3/4"), flat screwdriver, pry bar, tin snips, power drill, and 17/32" drill bit. Safety glasses should be worn at all times during installation.
Two people may be required to ease installation. The manual notes that if you are hesitant to undertake this task on your own, you should contact an authorized CURT installer. For technical support, call 1-800-798-0813.
Drilling is required on some models. Some models may require the forwardmost mounting holes to be enlarged using a 17/32" drill bit. The manual does not specify which models require this modification.
The rear rubber exhaust hanger must be lowered from the frame attachment. The underbody panel must be removed, trimmed, and reinstalled. The heat shield must be trimmed and reinstalled using the original fasteners. These modifications are permanent and required for proper hitch installation.
Torque all 3/8" hardware to 45 ft-lbs. Torque all 7/16" hardware to 70 lb-ft. Torque all 1/2" hardware to 75 lb-ft. These specifications apply to the U-bolt, carriage bolts, hex bolts, and handle nuts used in the installation.
The fishwire technique is used to insert 7/16" carriage bolts and spacers into existing holes in the frame. The manual references a fishwire technique diagram but does not provide detailed text instructions. Two 7/16" fishwire tools (part CM-438-FW) are included for this purpose. The kit includes: 2 hex flange nuts (7/16-14), 2 hex bolts (1/2-13 x 1 1/4), 2 conical toothed washers (1/2"), 2 handle nuts (1/2-13), 2 square hole spacers (CM-SP2, .250 x .88 x 2.25"), 2 carriage bolts (7/16-14 x 1 1/2), 2 fishwire tools (CM-438-FW, 7/16"), 1 U-bolt (3/8-16 x 1.00 x 1.88), and 2 hex flange nuts (HFN3816).
All non-trailer (wheel-less) loads applied to this hitch must be supported by auxiliary stabilizing straps. CURT recommends the use of part 18050 stabilizing straps for all non-trailer loads. Failure to properly support non-trailer loads will void the product warranty.
Periodically check the receiver hitch to ensure that all fasteners are tight and that all structural components are sound. This ongoing inspection helps maintain the integrity and safety of the installation.

If defective, CURT may repair or replace the product at their option when returned prepaid with proof of purchase. Alteration, misuse, or improper installation voids the warranty.
