This particular kit fits certain years of the Lexus NX250, NX350, NX350h, and NX450h+, and Toyota RAV4 and Venza (see application info to verify vehicle compatibility). It provides a weight carrying capacity of 4,500 lbs. GTW and 675 lbs. TW. It is also compatible with a weight distribution hitch for level towing and a rating of 4,500 lbs. WD and 675 lbs. WDTW. CURT class 3 trailer hitches are typically used to attach and haul utility trailers, boat trailers, campers, snowmobile or ATV haulers and more (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest-rated towing component). Each class 3 hitch has a 2" receiver tube and is tested in accordance with SAE J684 for safety. To ensure that CURT class 3 receiver hitches have what it takes for serious trailering, they are designed using a hands-on approach and are constructed with rugged, high-strength steel and precise welding. We also protect our class 3 hitches in a co-cured finish of liquid A-coat and black powder coat for superior resistance to rust, chipping and UV damage.

Yes. Remove the stickers covering the existing weldnut holes on the outside of the frame rails. If equipped, remove the tie-down bracket from the bottom passenger-side frame rail using a 12mm socket and return it to the vehicle owner.
The package includes: 1 trailer hitch, 4 hex bolts (M12 – 1.25 x 35mm), and 4 conical-toothed washers (1/2").
To remove debris from the weldnuts in the frame, spray lubricant or compressed air into the hole. For heavy debris, use a wire brush. Take care not to damage the threads.
The conical-toothed washers should be oriented with the toothed side facing the hitch side plate, as shown in the assembly diagram on page 2. The washer sits between the hex bolt and the hitch side plate.
No. In Step 3, loosely secure the hitch with the M12 bolts and conical-toothed washers. Tighten them to the final torque specification of 86 ft-lbs only in Step 4, after the hitch is positioned correctly.
If the heat shield contacts the hitch, bend the heat shield up to prevent rattling. This may be necessary on some vehicle models.
Yes. Lowering the exhaust may ease installation on some models. If you do lower the exhaust, be sure to support it to prevent damage to the vehicle.
