They make it easy to hitch up and Bring It, offering a vehicle-specific fit and the weight capacity to handle a variety of trailers. Custom class 3 hitches are the most common type of receiver hitch for pickup trucks and SUVs. Because of their weight range, they are also found on full-size cars, crossovers and minivans. Each custom-fit class 3 hitch package is made for vehicle-specific mounting. This particular kit fits certain years of the Cadilac LYRIQ, Chevrolet Equinox EV, and Honda Prologue (see application info to verify vehicle compatibility). It provides a weight carrying capacity of 3,500 lbs. GTW and 350 lbs. TW. CURT class 3 trailer hitches are typically used to attach and haul utility trailers, boat trailers, campers, snowmobile or ATV haulers and more (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest-rated towing component). Each class 3 hitch has a 2" receiver tube and is tested in accordance with SAE J684 for safety. To ensure that CURT class 3 receiver hitches have what it takes for serious trailering, they are designed using a hands-on approach and are constructed with rugged, high-strength steel and precise welding. We also protect our class 3 hitches in a co-cured finish of liquid A-coat and black powder coat for superior resistance to rust, chipping and UV damage.
CURT custom wiring connectors are the easiest way to outfit your vehicle with a CURT trailer wiring connection. They are built with some of the most advanced technology in the industry, and each one is custom-fitted to work with a specific make and model. Some automotive manufacturers install a special socket on the vehicle to be used for vehicle-to-trailer wiring. Although this special socket is not equipped on every vehicle, a CURT custom wiring connector -- also called a T-connector -- utilizes the socket for simple, stress-free installation. Rather than requiring you to cut, splice and solder into your vehicle's wiring system, the custom wiring connector uses a single OEM-compatible plug and instantly provides a standard, universal vehicle-to-trailer wiring connection, typically in the form a 4-way flat. All CURT custom wiring connectors are made vehicle-specific for the easiest possible installation and the best fit. This particular plug-in connector provides a 4-way flat socket and is designed to be a custom wiring option for certain years of the Cadillac XT4, Lyriq, Chevrolet Blazer EV, Equinox EV, and Honda Prologue (to verify your vehicle compatibility, see application info). It comes with all necessary hardware to establish a solid connection. It also comes with a dust cover to keep the connector socket clean when not in use. 1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal and fasten it away from the battery. 2. From under the rear bumper cover, locate the housing with dust cover. 3. Slide the red lock back, press the housing lock in, and remove the dust cover. 4. Install the custom wiring harness and slide the red lock back into the locked position. 5. Zip tie the harness as needed with the 4-flat mounted near the receiver hitch. 6. Test the harness with a test light, 4-flat tester, or functioning trailer. 7. Reinstall all removed items and reconnect the negative battery terminal. 8. Install the provided 4-flat dust cover.
1. Ensure the vehicle is turned off. 2. From under the rear bumper, locate the plastic facias. 3. Remove the facias using a 7mm socket (Blazer EV) or T-15 Torx bit (Lyriq). Remove all 16 screws and use a trim tool to remove 2 push fasteners. 4. On the passenger side, locate the backup alarm. Just above and to the rear of the backup alarm, find the black connector with white filler blocks. Locate the red tab, push it towards the white filler blocks, and press the housing release to remove the dust cover. 5. Install the custom wiring harness and slide the red lock back into the locked position. 6. Zip tie the harness as needed with the 4-flat mounted near the receiver hitch. 7. Test the harness with a test light, 4-flat tester, or functioning trailer. 8. Reinstall all removed items and install the provided 4-flat dust cover.
From under the vehicle rear bumper, locate the plastic facias. For Chevy Blazer EV, use a 7mm socket to remove the fasteners. For Cadillac Lyriq, use a T-15 Torx bit. Remove all 16 screws and use a trim tool to remove 2 push fasteners.
On the passenger side, locate the backup alarm. Just above and to the rear of the backup alarm, there is a black connector with white filler blocks protruding. Locate the red tab and push it towards the white filler blocks, then press the housing release to remove the dust cover.
Slide the red lock back, press the housing lock in, and remove the dust cover. Install the custom wiring harness into the connector and slide the red lock back into the locked position.
Zip tie the harness as needed with the 4-flat mounted near the receiver hitch. This secures the harness and prevents movement.
Once the harness is connected, verify that it is functioning by attaching the battery (if disconnected) and testing with a test light, 4-flat tester, or a functioning trailer. This confirms proper operation before final reassembly.

The fishwire technique guides the carriage bolts and spacers through the vehicle frame rails. Insert the coiled end of the fishwire through the hitch mounting hole and out the access hole. Pass the coiled end through a spacer and thread the bolt into the coil. Kink the wire to keep the spacer separate from the bolt. Pull the fishwire, spacer, and bolt through the frame and out the mounting hole. The fishwire prevents loss of bolts or spacers inside the frame rail and guides the hitch during mounting.
Follow these steps in order: (1) Remove the underbody panel using a T-15 Torx bit and 7mm socket. (2) Enlarge the access holes and fishwire the carriage bolts and spacers into the mounting holes, leaving fishwires attached. (3) Trim the underbody panel following the trim diagram (7-1/2" and 38-7/8" dimensions). (4) Raise the hitch into position and fishwire the carriage bolts through the holes, then loosely secure with 1/2" serrated-flange nuts. (5) Torque all 1/2" hardware to 90 ft-lbs and reinstall the trimmed underbody panel.
Leave the bolts loose initially. In Step 4, loosely secure the carriage bolts using the 1/2" serrated-flange nuts. Only in Step 5, after the hitch is positioned and all bolts are in place, torque all 1/2" hardware to 90 ft-lbs using a torque wrench.
The underbody panel must be trimmed following the trim diagram provided in Step 3. The diagram shows two dimensions: 7-1/2" and 38-7/8". Remove the panel in Step 1, trim it according to these measurements, and reinstall it in Step 5 after torquing the hitch hardware.
The CURT 13617 uses four carriage bolts, each 1/2"-13 x 1-3/4" in size. They are secured with 1/2"-13 serrated-flange nuts and torqued to 90 ft-lbs. Spacers (1/4" x 1" x 2-1/2") are placed between the bolts and the vehicle frame.
