For some, it's more than just a drive. It's about definition -- finding the rush that comes with your hands on the wheel and your foot on the gas -- and it starts by stepping into your vehicle with confidence. ARIES AeroTread running boards give new definition to your drive with their sleek design, full-length treads and flawless finish. They feature unencumbered aluminum construction and a custom contour to redefine your look and offer a solid step up. Made specifically for today's crossover and SUV, ARIES AeroTread running boards are marked for their aerodynamic look and lightweight build. They are constructed from an extruded aluminum base, making them strong and impervious to the elements. Each set of running boards features sleek, curved edges with tapered ends to seamlessly blend with the body of your vehicle. To give you the exact, customized look you want, AeroTread running boards come with one of two front-trim finish options: polished stainless steel or black carbide powder-coated stainless steel. They are also equipped with a 5" wide, hard plastic step pad that runs the entire length of the board, providing a non-skid surface no matter where you place your foot. AeroTread running boards install using a track mounting system to attach vehicle-specific brackets, and pre-existing holes in the vehicle's frame are used to eliminate drilling, speed up installation and ensure stable footing. This set of running boards is designed to fit specific years of the GMC Acadia and Cadillac XT5 (see application information to verify compatibility with your vehicle). The mounting brackets are made from steel and are coated in a powder coat finish for long-lasting dependability. Whatever road you choose, define your drive with ARIES AeroTread running boards.

Yes. When locating the middle mounting holes, the manual instructs you to remove plugs if they are present before inserting the M10 bolt plate.
1. Start on the driver side and locate the three mounting locations on the inside of the rocker panel and underneath the vehicle. 2. Secure the front mounting bracket using M8 hardware (snug but do not fully tighten). 3. Secure the middle mounting bracket, removing plugs if present and inserting an M10 bolt plate (snug but do not fully tighten). 4. Secure the rear mounting bracket using a 3" × 1½" spacer and 1/2" carriage bolt (snug but do not fully tighten). 5. Place the running board on the brackets, align the M8 bolts with the slots, and attach using six M8 bolts with lock washers, flat washers and hex nuts. 6. Adjust and level the running board, centering it between the front and rear wheels. 7. Tighten all bracket hardware to the vehicle first, then tighten the running board connections. 8. Repeat steps 1–7 on the passenger side.
Do not fully tighten the bracket hardware when you first secure it. The manual instructs you to snug the hardware at each bracket location (front, middle, and rear) but not fully tighten. Only after the running board is placed on the brackets, aligned, and leveled should you tighten all bracket hardware to the vehicle first, followed by the running board connections.
After attaching the running board to the brackets using the six M8 bolts, use the level tool to adjust and level the running board, centering it between the front and rear wheels. The manual recommends tightening all brackets to the vehicle first, followed by the running board connections, once the board is in the correct position.
