ARIES 3" round side bars are a reliable and budget-friendly option for side steps on your truck. This set of nerf bars offers solid rust resistance, a custom fit and a no-drill installation. Constructed from stainless steel, these 3" side bars are perfect for work or play, easily withstanding dirt, water, mud, sand, snow and road salt and maintaining dependable corrosion resistance even offroad. They also come with a durable semi-gloss black powder coat finish that greater enhances rust resistance, and helps keep the nerf bars looking clean in spite of minor scuffs and scratches. 3" diameter, heavy-wall tubing is used to construct the steps, providing excellent strength and rigidity for safe, comfortable entry and exit. These 3" round nerf bars also feature non-skid step pads to further enhance safety. The step pads are textured to increase traction, and they are custom-placed to match the door layout for a convenient step up right where you need it. To ensure the best fit and appearance on your truck, every set of 3" side bars is made vehicle-specific. This means the steps are bent to a specific contour to complement the shape of the vehicle's rocker panels. It also makes for a much easier installation compared to any universal nerf bars or running boards. These particular 3" nerf bars are designed to fit specific years of the Ford F150, F250 Super Duty and F350 Super Duty (see application info to verify fitment). ARIES side bars use heavy-duty, vehicle-specific brackets that mount using pre-existing factory holes to completely eliminate drilling from the installation process. This speeds up the install and helps avoid unnecessary modification to your vehicle. It also promotes a stronger, more rigid step for sure footing every time you climb into your truck.

The plastic washers are designed to prevent corrosion between the aluminum body panel and the steel mounting brackets. Do not install the brackets without the plastic washers, as this will allow corrosion to occur.
1. Locate the front and rear factory running board mounting studs on the driver side inner body panel. 2. Slide one plastic washer over each factory mounting stud. 3. Attach a mounting bracket to the three studs using three 8mm flat washers and three 8mm nylock lock nuts; snug but do not fully tighten. 4. Repeat for the rear driver side bracket. 5. Position the driver/left sidebar onto the three mounting brackets without sliding or rotating it. 6. Attach the sidebar to the brackets using four 8mm x 25mm hex bolts, four 8mm lock washers, and four 8mm flat washers; do not tighten yet. 7. Level and adjust the sidebar, then tighten all hardware. 8. Repeat steps 1–7 for the passenger/right side.
No. When attaching the mounting brackets to the factory studs, snug the hardware but do not fully tighten. When attaching the sidebar to the brackets, do not tighten the hardware at all. Only tighten all hardware after you have leveled and adjusted the sidebar to the correct position.
No. Do not slide the sidebar front to back or rotate it on the brackets. Doing so may damage the finish on the sidebar. Carefully position the sidebar onto the mounting brackets and keep it in place during attachment.

Wax the product after installation. Regular waxing is recommended to add a protective layer over the finish. For stainless steel finishes, aluminum polish may be used to polish small scratches and scuffs, and mild soap may be used to clean. For gloss black finishes, use mild soap to clean. Do not use any polish or wax containing abrasives, dish detergent, abrasive cleaners, abrasive pads, or wire brushes, as these may damage the finish.

Do not tighten the hardware until after you have leveled and adjusted the sidebars to the correct position. Snug the bracket fasteners initially, but leave all sidebar fasteners loose until leveling is complete.
Wax the product after installation and regularly thereafter. Use mild automotive detergent and mild soap to clean. Do not use abrasive polish, wax, cleaners, pads, or wire brushes. For stainless steel, aluminum polish may be used on small scratches.
