It begins with a one-piece frame of 1/4" thick welded plates and 1-1/2" mandrel-bent tubing for a solid build. Each one is made with a vehicle-specific design for a better fit, easier install and more secure mounting. The side brush guards are custom-bent to contour to the profile of your vehicle, while the mounting brackets are positioned for a no-drill application. This means pre-existing factory holes are used to ensure optimum fitment and less vibration. This particular custom grille guard fits specific y ears of the Chevy Avalanche, Suburban 1500 and Tahoe (see application info to verify). The ARIES grille guard also makes it easy to customize the look of your vehicle. Not only does the crossbar have two pre-drilled holes for mounting aftermarket LED lights, but many of our grille guards are also available in two finish options -- polished stainless steel or semi-gloss black steel. The stainless steel grille guard is made with 304 stainless, being high in nickel content and truly resistant to rust and corrosion. This option comes with a mirror-like polished finish for a definitive shine. The semi-gloss black grille guard is made with high-strength carbon steel for added strength. It features a tough, dual-layer E-coat and black powder coat finish to protect against rust, scratches and the elements. All ARIES grille guards also come with rubber stripping along the risers to protect the frame against scuffs and scratches.

Yes. You must remove two plastic retainer towhook covers located at the lower end of the front bumper (on both driver and passenger sides). You must also open the hood and remove two existing bolts located inside the grill mount; these bolts are reused during installation.
1. Remove plastic towhook covers from the bumper. 2. Install bottom bracket and bottom end bracket on the driver side using M12 × 30mm bolts, nyloc nuts, and flat washers; then install the M12 × 120mm bolt and adjust the bottom bracket downward before tightening. 3. Repeat on the passenger side. 4. Install the grill guard onto both bottom bracket assemblies using M12 × 30mm bolts, nyloc nuts, and flat washers, leaving them loose. 5. Open the hood, remove the two existing grill mount bolts, and install the top brackets using those existing bolts. 6. Bolt the top brackets to the grill guard using M6 × 20mm bolts, leaving them loose. 7. Level and adjust the grill guard as desired, then tighten all fasteners.
Yes. If existing towhooks are present, you can use them and their hardware for the bottom and bottom end bracket installation. In this case, remove the (2) M12 × 30mm bolts, (2) M12 nyloc nuts, and (4) M12 flat washers from the hardware kit and use the existing towhook hardware instead.
Leave loose the (6) M12 × 30mm bolts, (6) M12 nyloc nuts, and (12) M12 flat washers that attach the grill guard to the bottom bracket assemblies. Also leave loose the (2) M6 × 20mm bolts that attach the top brackets to the grill guard. Tighten all fasteners only after leveling and adjusting the grill guard to the desired position.
After installing the bottom bracket and bottom end bracket with the M12 × 30mm bolts and nyloc nuts, you install the M12 × 120mm bolt and then adjust the bottom bracket downward before tightening. The manual does not specify the exact distance or final position; this adjustment allows you to position the bracket correctly before final tightening.
