The ARIES AdvantEDGE bull bar is a unique, modern truck bull bar option, featuring a patented design, a highly corrosion-resistant construction and an easy, no-drill installation. For ultimate customization, it also comes with integrated LED lights and two finish options. The AdvantEDGE bull bar with lights is unlike all other bull bars for trucks. It's octagonal tubing and angular, A-frame shape give it an aggressive aftermarket look and complement the look of the modern pickup truck. To maintain a long-lasting, consistent finish, the AdvantEDGE bull bar is constructed from extruded aluminum alloy, making it strong, lightweight and rust-free. It is also protected in a durable powder coat finish for additional corrosion resistance, and it is available in two color choices: chrome powder coat or carbide black powder coat. To add utility and an unmistakable accent to your truck, this bull bar also features flush-mount LED lights. These 2" square lights are constructed with grade-A LED chips and IP68 and IP69K waterproof and dustproof ratings. They feature flood beams and provide 2,200 lumens. The AdvantEDGE bull bar is also available without lights. For fast and easy installation, the AdvantEDGE bull bar with lights is made vehicle-specific. This allows the bull bar to mount securely with no drilling required. This particular bull bar fits specific years of the Ram 2500 or 3500 and Dodge Ram 2500 or Ram 3500 (see application info to verify fitment). It comes with high-strength powder-coated steel brackets and a waterproof wiring harness for a complete installation. The AdvantEDGE bull bar is designed to complement the rest of the AdvantEDGE series, including the AdvantEDGE headache rack and AdvantEDGE side bars.

The ARIES AdvantEDGE 5-1/2" Chrome Aluminum Bull Bar with Lights, Select Ram 2500, 3500 Brush Guard (Part #BBDR2155101) Refer to the included instructions for installation details. Basic hand tools are typically all you need.
The manual does not specify which vehicles are compatible with this bull bar. Contact ARIES Automotive at 877.287.8634 or visit ARIESAUTOMOTIVE.COM for fitment information, or consult your vehicle's documentation.
Yes. The installation uses the factory tow hook bolts to secure the vehicle mounting brackets. The bull bar cannot be installed without factory tow hooks.
You will need: ratchet, 13mm socket, 16mm socket, 18mm socket, 17mm wrench, 18mm wrench, and a level. Proper tools improve installation quality and reduce time required.
Yes. Step 5 explicitly states 'With help, lift the bull bar into place', so at least one additional person is required to safely position the bull bar during installation.
M8 bolts must be tightened to 7 ft.-lbs. according to the torque specifications table on page 1.
M10 bolts must be tightened to 16 ft.-lbs. according to the torque specifications table on page 1.
No. The LED wiring harness is only included with LED-equipped models. Non-LED models do not include the harness.
If your vehicle uses a 24V system, you must replace the supplied 12V relay with a 24V relay. The manual does not provide the 24V relay part number; contact ARIES Automotive at 877.287.8634 for the correct part.
Periodic inspections should be performed to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight. The manual does not specify an exact interval; inspect before each use or monthly as a precaution.
The kit includes: 1 bull bar, 2 vehicle mounting brackets, 2 bull bar mounting brackets, 8 M8 hex bolts, 8 M8 flat washers, 8 M8 nylock nuts, 4 M10 hex bolts, 8 M10 flat washers, 4 M10 nylock nuts, and 1 LED wiring harness (LED-equipped models only). The factory tow hook bolts are reused and not included.
For chrome powder coat finishes, use polish to clear small scratches and scuffs, or mild soap to clean. For black finishes, use only mild soap to clean. Do not use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.
The manual states that factory hex bolts securing the tow hooks are removed and reused to attach the vehicle mounting brackets. The manual does not explicitly state whether the tow hook assemblies themselves are removed or remain in place. Contact ARIES Automotive at 877.287.8634 for clarification.
The manual does not specify whether battery disconnection is required. If your model includes LED lights and wiring, it is recommended to disconnect the negative battery terminal before connecting electrical components. Contact ARIES Automotive at 877.287.8634 for guidance specific to your model.
No. In Step 4, the M8 bolts securing the bull bar mounting brackets to the bull bar should be snugged but not fully tightened. In Step 6, the M10 bolts connecting the brackets to the vehicle mounting brackets should also be snugged but not fully tightened. All hardware is fully tightened only in Step 7 after the bull bar is leveled and positioned.
1. Remove the four factory hex bolts from the driver-side tow hooks. 2. Attach the driver-side vehicle mounting bracket using the factory bolts. 3. Repeat for the passenger side. 4. Attach the bull bar mounting brackets to the bull bar using M8 bolts, washers, and nylock nuts (snug only). 5. With help, lift the bull bar into place. 6. Insert M10 bolts with washers and nylock nuts to connect the brackets to the vehicle (snug only). 7. Level and adjust the bull bar, then fully tighten all hardware to the specified torque values.
Four M8 hex bolts are used: two inserted in the outside rail slot and two in the inside slot. Each bolt is secured with an M8 flat washer and M8 nylock nut on the opposite side of the bracket.
Four M10 bolts are used total: two for the driver-side bracket and two for the passenger-side bracket. Each bolt is inserted from the outside of the bracket with a flat washer, and secured on the inside with a flat washer and nylock nut.
The manual does not mention drilling, cutting, grinding, welding, or any permanent modifications to the vehicle. Installation uses existing factory tow hook mounting points and factory bolts.
If your bull bar is equipped with LED lights, follow Steps 8 and 9. Step 8: Disconnect the switch from the wire harness and install it in your desired location. Route the wire harness to the LED lights and switch, then reconnect the blue, red, and black spade connectors to the switch (black wire to gold terminal). Step 9: Connect the red fused wire ring terminal to the positive battery post, the black wire ring terminal to the negative battery post or grounding point, mount the supplied relay to the vehicle, secure all wires with zip ties away from moving parts, and test the lights.
The LED wiring harness uses red, black, and blue wires. The red fused wire connects to the positive battery post, the black wire connects to the negative battery post or vehicle grounding point, and the blue wire is part of the spade connector set that connects to the switch.
The switch location is your choice. Step 8 states 'Disconnect the supplied switch from the wire harness and install in desired location.' Install it where it is easily accessible to the driver.
Route the wire harness to the LED lights and switch, securing all wires with zip ties away from moving parts to avoid damage. The manual does not specify exact routing paths; use common sense to keep wires clear of engine components, suspension, and rotating parts.
After installation, perform periodic inspections to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight. To protect your investment, follow the maintenance guidance on page 1: for chrome powder coat finishes, use polish for small scratches or mild soap for cleaning; for black finishes, use only mild soap. Test the LED lights (if equipped) to ensure proper function.
The installation is rated as 'Easy' according to the manual. However, it requires at least two people to safely lift the bull bar into place, proper tools, and careful attention to torque specifications.
First, verify that the lights were tested after installation (Step 9 requires testing). Check that the red fused wire is connected to the positive battery post and the black wire is connected to the negative battery post or vehicle grounding point. Verify that the blue, red, and black spade connectors are properly reconnected to the switch, with the black wire on the gold terminal. Ensure the relay is mounted securely and all wire connections are tight. If the vehicle uses a 24V system, confirm that a 24V relay (not the supplied 12V relay) is installed.
Loosen all hardware (M8 and M10 bolts) back to a snug state without fully tightening. Use the level to reposition the bull bar to the desired horizontal alignment. Once properly leveled and adjusted, fully tighten all hardware to the specified torque values: M8 bolts to 7 ft.-lbs. and M10 bolts to 16 ft.-lbs.
Perform a periodic inspection to identify which bolts are loose. Using the correct socket or wrench size, retighten all loose hardware to the specified torque values: M8 bolts to 7 ft.-lbs. and M10 bolts to 16 ft.-lbs. Loose hardware can occur due to vibration during vehicle operation. Check hardware periodically, especially after the first few drives.
