The kit includes two 6" oval side bars, eight universal brackets, eight stainless steel bolt plates, 32 M6 flat washers, 32 M6 nylock nuts, 16 M8 flat washers, 16 M8 lock washers, and 16 M8 hex head cap screws. Aluminum side bars come with additional hardware: 24 M8 T-bolts, 24 M8 flat washers, 24 M8 lock washers, and 24 M8 hex nuts. Not all hardware is used; some is specific to stainless steel or aluminum versions.

Yes. Before securing the brackets, remove the plastic plugs covering the threaded inserts at each of the four mounting locations on both sides of the vehicle body.
There are eight mounting locations total: four along the bottom edge of each side of the vehicle body. Two brackets are installed on each side—one at the front and one at the rear.
Place the side bar on the brackets with the larger step pad toward the front of the vehicle.
No. During the initial bracket installation (Step 2), snug the hardware but do not fully tighten. When attaching the side bar to the brackets (Steps 5 and 6), snug the hardware but do not fully tighten. Only fully tighten all hardware after the side bar is positioned as desired (Step 7).
1. Locate and remove plastic plugs from the four mounting locations on each side. 2. Install brackets on the front passenger side, then the remaining three locations on the passenger side, then all four on the driver side. 3. Place the side bar on the brackets with the larger step pad toward the front. 4. For stainless steel bars, insert bolt plates into the bottom channels and secure with M6 washers and nylock nuts (snug only). For aluminum bars, insert T-bolts into the bottom channels and secure with M8 washers, lock washers, and nuts (snug only). 5. Adjust the side bar to the desired location. 6. Tighten all bracket-to-vehicle connections first, then the side bar connections using the specified torque values.
Stainless steel side bars use bolt plates inserted into the bottom channels and are secured to brackets with M6 flat washers and nylock nuts. Aluminum side bars use three T-bolts inserted into the bottom channels and are secured with M8 flat washers, lock washers, and hex nuts. Aluminum bars come with additional hardware beyond the standard kit.
M6 bolts should be tightened to 3 ft-lbs.
M8 bolts should be tightened to 7 ft-lbs.
Wax the product after installing to protect it. Regular waxing is recommended to add a protective layer over the finish. Do not use polish or wax containing abrasives, as these can damage the finish. For polished, gloss, and other smooth finishes, polish may be used to clear small scratches and scuffs. Clean with mild automotive detergent only. Do not use dish detergent, abrasive cleaners, abrasive pads, wire brushes, or similar products that may damage the finish.
