ARIES 4" oval side bars are sleek, strong and custom-fitted to be a highly functional extension of your truck. ARIES 4" oval side bars are made with strong 4" elliptical tubing and are available in two different finish options to allow you full customization: polished stainless steel and black powder coat carbon steel. This set of side bars is constructed from 304 stainless steel, meaning high nickel content to be truly stainless. They easily resist rust and corrosion and feature a highly polished finish that is made to last. Something that sets the ARIES 4" oval side bar apart from all others is its blended end caps and OE-style bends. Rather than capping our side bars with a plastic cap, we offer a blended end cap for a smooth, finished appearance. We also equip the ends with a special 20-degree bend and original equipment styling to perfectly contour to your vehicle. ARIES 4" oval side bars are fitted with raised step pads to provide a wide stepping surface. The polypropylene construction will not crack over time, and because it has a textured grip, the surface is highly resistant to slips and skids, even when wet. To add an extra element of class to our oval sides, we also fit each one with a stainless steel insignia bearing the ARIES name. Installation of ARIES 4" oval side bars is quick and easy with custom-fitted mounting brackets and no drilling necessary. These nerf bars fit select model years of the Toyota Tacoma (see application info to verify fitment).

Install one side at a time. Begin with the driver (left) side. Attach the front, center, and rear mounting brackets to the rocker panel holes using M8 bolts, then attach the side tube to all three brackets using M10 bolts. Adjust the tube to be level and centered, tighten all bolts, then repeat the entire process for the passenger (right) side.
First, hand-tighten the M8 bolts that attach the brackets to the rocker panel. Then attach the side tube to the brackets with M10 bolts and snug them but do not tighten. Adjust the side tube so it is level and centered. Finally, tighten all bolts to their specified torque values. Repeat for the other side.
M8 bolts must be torqued to 7 ft.-lbs. (foot-pounds). This applies to the bolts that attach the mounting brackets to the rocker panel.
M10 bolts must be torqued to 16 ft.-lbs. (foot-pounds). This applies to the bolts that attach the side tube to the mounting brackets.
After attaching the side tube to the front, center, and rear brackets with M10 bolts, snug the bolts but do not fully tighten them. Adjust the tube so that it is level and centered on the vehicle. Once properly positioned, tighten all bolts to their specified torque value (16 ft.-lbs. for M10 bolts).
For stainless steel and aluminum surfaces, polish may be used to clear small scratches and scuffs. Mild soap may also be used to clean the product. The manual does not specify a maintenance schedule or retorque interval.
