The kit includes a 3/4" bulkhead seal, tonneau rail sections, strap and buckle assembly with mounting block, and factory accessory cleats (if removed during installation). The manual does not specify additional hardware or fasteners included.
Yes. Step 2 requires you to remove the factory accessory rail end cap and any accessory cleats before guiding the tonneau rail into the upper half of the factory accessory rail.
A soap and water mix is used to help the tonneau rail and rail seal slide smoothly along the factory rail slot to the front of the bed. This lubricates the fit and makes installation easier.
The tonneau rail must be positioned all the way forward so that the slotted bracket is touching the bulkhead. This ensures correct alignment before the strap and buckle are fully tightened.
The final placement and tightening of the strap and buckle should not happen until the tonneau cover is in place. During initial installation, slide the strap assembly forward towards the cab, but leave it loose.
