The Powered A-Frame Jack (F3803-00) is designed to attach to the top surface of an A-frame coupler. The dual mounting pattern allows positioning of the jack either facing the tow vehicle or for side operation.

The plunger pin assembly aligns with grooves on the jack tube and slides over the bottom of the tube. It must pass through both sides of the tube and be torqued to 15–20 ft-lbs. After installation, ensure the plunger pin and drop leg operate freely.
1. Attach the trailer to the tow vehicle and chock the wheels. 2. Remove the lynch pin and drop leg from the jack assembly (you may need to remove the jack mounting hardware if already installed). 3. Align the grooves of the jack tube and plunger pin assembly together and slide over the bottom of the jack tube. 4. Retract the plunger pin and slide the plunger pin assembly onto the jack. Verify the pin passes through both sides of the tube. 5. Install the drop leg. 6. With the plunger pin through both holes of the jack tube, tighten the clamp to the jack and torque to 15–20 ft-lbs. Ensure the plunger pin and drop leg operate freely. 7. Reattach the jack to the trailer according to the main installation instructions. 8. If your trailer has a weight distribution kit, check for any interference to avoid damage during operation.
The drop leg is a support foot that attaches to the jack. During installation, position the drop leg beneath the coupler mounting hole with the foot on the ground to support the jack outer tube. The drop leg can also be used during operation to quickly extend the jack. After adjusting the drop leg to the desired level, reattach the lynch pin or plunger pin assembly through both sides of the jack tube to secure it in place.

Periodically check mounting hardware for proper torque and tighten if necessary. If necessary, wash the jack with mild soap and water and rinse thoroughly. Remove the three bubble level retaining ring screws. 3. Place the bubble level on a known flat surface. 4. Lower the trailer's leveling jacks (if equipped) and the Powered A-Frame Jack to properly support and level the trailer using the bubble level as a guide. 5. Once level, return the bubble level to the Powered A-Frame Jack and adjust the three retaining screws so that the bubble is centered. 6. After this initial setup, you can level your trailer in minutes by watching the bubble on the jack. No further adjustments are necessary.

If your trailer has a weight distribution kit attached, check for any interference to avoid damage during operation. This check should be performed after the plunger pin assembly is installed (if applicable) and the jack is reattached to the trailer.
First, ensure the battery is fully charged. A low or dead battery is the most common cause of jack failure to operate. If the battery is fully charged and the jack still does not operate, check that all electrical connections are tight and free of corrosion. Verify that the black wire lead is securely connected to the positive (+) terminal of the battery and that the battery ground cable is properly reconnected. If connections are secure and the battery is charged, the built-in circuit breaker may have tripped due to an overload. Allow the system to cool and try again. Verify that the light switch is set to "ON". Check that the battery is fully charged, as a low battery may not provide sufficient power for the light. Proper grounding requires metal-to-metal contact between the jack and the coupler. Verify that the star washers are in place between the bolt head and the top of the jack mounting bracket. Check that the mounting bolts are torqued to 15–20 ft-lbs and are not loose. If bolts are loose, tighten them to the correct torque specification. Inspect the contact surfaces between the jack and coupler for corrosion or paint that may prevent metal-to-metal contact. If corrosion is present, clean the surfaces with a wire brush or sandpaper to restore bare metal contact. Retorque the bolts after cleaning.
After tightening the clamp on the plunger pin assembly to 15–20 ft-lbs, ensure the plunger pin and drop leg operate freely. If they do not move smoothly, the clamp may be over-tightened. Loosen the clamp slightly and verify that the plunger pin passes through both sides of the jack tube. Ensure the grooves of the jack tube and plunger pin assembly are properly aligned. If the pin still does not operate freely, periodically oil the pins of the plunger pin assembly to reduce friction.
If electric power is lost during operation, the jack can still be operated manually using the manual override crank. Remove the cap on top of the plastic cover and insert the manual override crank to raise or lower the jack as needed. Once power is restored, you can resume normal electric operation. If power loss occurs frequently, check that the battery is fully charged and that all electrical connections are tight and free of corrosion.
