From coupling at the campground to navigating tight turns, every feature is engineered to make towing easier. The A16 utilizes a fully articulating torsion head that moves naturally with the trailer while helping maintain a stable connection. Its cast yoke and poly-torsion inserts work together to absorb road shock and reduce vibration before it reaches the truck, resulting in improved comfort behind the wheel. Interlocking jaws provide full kingpin contact to help reduce noise and deliver a secure connection throughout the journey. When it's time to hook up, the extra-wide funnel-style head opening helps simplify alignment. The lockable handle automatically returns to the ready position after uncoupling, helping speed up the next hookup. A highly visible three-position indicator lets drivers quickly verify coupling status before pulling away. For improved maneuverability, the included S20 slider provides 12 inches of travel within the truck bed to help create additional cab clearance when backing and turning. Adjustable anchors help minimize movement between the hitch and mounting system for a more solid feel on the road. Maintenance and handling are also simplified. A one-pin head removal system allows the hitch to be separated into lighter sections for transport and storage, while the included polyethylene lube plate helps keep operation smooth without the mess of traditional grease. Backed by SAE J2638 safety testing and a limited lifetime warranty, the CURT A16 5th wheel slider hitch is designed to provide years of dependable towing performance wherever the road leads.
