Complete kit bundle containing all necessary components for your project. Professional-grade components designed for reliable performance and long-lasting durability.
The CURT QuickPin trailer coupler is a revolutionary coupler design, doing away with the traditional latch mechanism for simple, stress-free trailer hookup. Most couplers use a complicated hinging latch that's prone to wear out and become corroded, leading to difficulties and frustration. Instead of a latch, QuickPin uses a simple hitch pin to create a safe, reliable, hassle-free towing connection. It's as easy as dropping the trailer tongue onto the hitch ball, inserting the QuickPin hitch pin, and that's it! No more wrestling with a rusty latch, and no adjustment or tightening needed. This A-frame trailer hitch coupler is fully tested according to SAE J684 specifications. It is rated for 14,000 pounds and fits any standard 2-5/16-inch diameter trailer ball. The coupler can be mounted on an A-frame trailer tongue with a 50-degree angle (mounting hardware not included). It is also finished in a durable black powder coating for lasting rust resistance. NOTE: This coupler comes with a hitch pin that must be used when connecting the trailer. It may not be replaced with a different pin.

Call 888-634-9494The CURT 25474 has a gross trailer weight (GTW) capacity of 14,000 lbs and a tongue weight (TW) capacity of 1,400 lbs. Never exceed your vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity, as this is a separate limit that must also be observed.
The bolt-on version of the CURT 25474 is designed only for 50-degree trailer tongues. If you are using the bolt-on application, your trailer tongue must be 50 degrees. The weld-on application does not specify a tongue angle restriction in the manual.
For the weld-on application, you need a welder and welding PPE including a helmet, gloves, and sleeves. For the bolt-on application, you will need tools to install bolts and nuts, though the manual does not specify additional tools beyond standard fastening equipment. CURT provides a tools reference guide at curtmfg.com/trailer-hitch-installation.
The CURT 25474 includes one trailer coupler and a pin & clip for coupling and uncoupling. For the bolt-on application, the bolts, lock nuts, and washers are not included and must be purchased separately.
For the bolt-on application, you need six 1/2" grade 5 bolts, six 1/2" lock nuts, and twelve washers. These are not included with the coupler and must be purchased separately.
Yes. The manual requires that the coupler be fully welded by an AWS certified welder. The weld surfaces must be cleaned and prepped prior to welding. Failure to properly prep parts prior to welding could result in coupler separation, causing property damage, serious bodily injury, and/or death.
The coupler must be fully welded to the frame with a minimum weld size of 3/16" by an AWS certified welder. The weld should be applied as indicated by the red lines shown in the installation manual.
1. Remove the pin & clip from the pin guide hole. 2. Lower the coupler over the trailer ball until the ball is fully seated in the ball pocket. 3. Insert the provided pin through the pin guide hole. 4. Fasten the clip through the end of the pin. Only use the pin & clip provided with the coupler; using an alternate pin & clip could result in property damage, serious bodily injury, and/or death.
1. Block the trailer's wheels. 2. Remove the pin & clip from the pin guide hole. 3. Raise the trailer off of the trailer ball. 4. Place the pin & clip back into the pin guide hole.
Torque the hardware to 55 ft-lbs. The bolt length should extend a minimum of three threads beyond the lock nut when torqued.
Do not tow. When the ball is fully seated, if the pin does not pass through the coupler completely, the coupler is not properly engaged. Do not attempt to tow until the issue is resolved and the pin passes through completely.
Using an alternate pin & clip could result in property damage, serious bodily injury, and/or death. The provided pin & clip are designed and tested specifically for this coupler. Always use only the pin & clip that come with the coupler.
Failure to properly prep weld surfaces prior to welding could result in coupler separation, causing property damage, serious bodily injury, and/or death. Proper surface preparation ensures a strong, reliable weld that will safely support the trailer load.
Periodic inspection of your coupler should be performed to ensure all hardware and components remain secure. The manual does not specify an exact inspection interval, but regular checks before towing are recommended to verify that all fasteners are tight and the coupler is in safe working condition.
