The kit includes one jack handle, one 4mm retaining pin, one 5mm retaining pin, and one 5mm drill bit.
The manual does not specify which truck jacks or brands are compatible with part 25015. Contact CURT product support at 877-287-8634 to confirm fitment for your specific jack model.
You will need a ratchet, socket set, drill, and hammer. A punch is also required to remove the original retaining pin. The 5mm drill bit is provided in the kit.
Measure the original retaining pin that you remove from the jack. Use the 4mm pin if the original is 4mm, or the 5mm pin if the original is 5mm. If you need to use the 5mm pin, you will need to enlarge the handle pin hole using the provided 5mm drill bit.
1. Remove the top cover of the jack to expose the jack gear and wipe away excess grease. 2. Use a hammer and punch to remove the original retaining pin and handle. 3. Measure the original pin to determine the correct pin size (4mm or 5mm). 4. Insert the new handle through the jack housing and gear. 5. Align the gear pin hole and handle pin. 6. If using the 5mm pin, use the provided drill bit to enlarge the handle pin hole. 7. Insert the retaining pin. 8. Add grease to the jack gears and reinstall the cover.
Only if you are using the 5mm retaining pin. In that case, you must use the provided 5mm drill bit to enlarge the handle pin hole before inserting the pin.
Wax the product after installing to protect it. Regular waxing is recommended to add a protective layer over the finish. Use only mild automotive detergent to clean it. Do not use dish detergent, abrasive cleaners, abrasive pads, wire brushes or similar products that may damage the finish. Do not use any type of polish or wax that may contain abrasives.
Do not expose hands, body parts or clothing anywhere between the truck and trailer. Extreme care should be observed to avoid serious injury to self, property and observers.
