The CURT 25040 is rated for a gross trailer weight (GTW) of 30,000 lbs and a tongue weight (TW) of 7,500 lbs. Never exceed your vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity, even if the coupler is rated higher.
The CURT 25040 is designed to fit gooseneck trailers with a square outer tube mounting system. Before installation, confirm that the coupler will not interfere with the tow vehicle, tongue, ground, or any other mounted accessories in both stationary and moving positions. Check for interference again after installation is complete.
Before installation, read all instructions thoroughly. Confirm there will be no interference from the tow vehicle, tongue, ground, or other mounted accessories while stationary or in motion. 1. Align the coupler with the mounting tube and insert it into the square outer tube on the trailer. 2. Select the desired height and pin the coupler in place. 3. Rotate the handle to the locked position to secure the ball to the coupler before moving the trailer. 4. Ensure the bale pin is closed before use.
