A CURT Quick Plug brake controller wiring adapter is one of the fastest and easiest ways to plug your brake controller into your vehicle. It requires no cutting or splicing! Just insert the vehicle-specific plug end into the OEM vehicle?s factory brake controller socket. The other end plugs into your CURT trailer brake controller. Quick Plug harnesses are available for a variety of vehicles and are unique for each vehicle application to provide the easiest possible installation. This particular brake controller harness fits certain years of the Jeep Cherokee KL (see application info to verify fitment). The CURT 51459 is a brake control harness that connects your vehicle's factory electric brake control connector to an aftermarket brake control unit. It allows you to operate trailer brakes from your vehicle.
The white vehicle brake control harness connector is located underneath the dash, just to the left of the steering wheel, taped to another harness near the emergency brake pedal. A small trim panel is located in front of the connector; you may need to partially remove it to access the connector more easily.
