Draw-Tite has designed custom-fit trailer hitches since 1946 and is one of North America's most widely fitted hitch brands. Receiver hitches use solid all-welded construction and low-profile designs that follow modern vehicle contours, install with minimal bumper cutting or drilling, meet or exceed V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards, and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Draw-Tite has been leading custom-fit trailer hitch design and engineering since its founding in 1946, and it remains one of the most widely fitted hitch brands in North America. The company's stated approach is straightforward: every hitch is tested rigorously so that it performs well beyond published industry standards, a philosophy it markets as Tested Tough. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Fulton, Bulldog, Tekonsha, Bargman and Wesbar.
Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

How To Properly Select a Ball Mount - Draw•Tite®
The 80410 is rated for a maximum gross trailer weight of 6000 LB and maximum tongue weight of 600 LB, whether used with a ball or as a clevis. However, you must not exceed the gross trailer weight and tongue weight ratings of your specific tow vehicle, receiver, and ball—whichever is lowest.
The 80410 accepts only a ball with a 1-inch diameter threaded shank. You must follow the ball manufacturer's instructions and warnings during installation.
A 5/8-inch diameter pin is required to secure the clevis/ball mount to your receiver. The pin must be secured with a clip or locking device.
1. Ensure the ball has a 1-inch diameter threaded shank. 2. Thread the ball onto the mount shank. 3. Use a torque wrench with a crowfoot attachment to reach and tighten the nut to the specification provided by the ball manufacturer. Follow all ball manufacturer's instructions and warnings.
Secure the clevis/ball mount to your receiver using a 5/8-inch diameter pin. Secure the pin with a clip or locking device to prevent loss during towing.
Use only a 1-inch diameter pin with a positive retaining device for clevis operation. The pin must extend through both clevis members and be installed from the top. Pin #5764 and clip #55515 are available for purchase separately.
You need a torque wrench and a crowfoot attachment to reach and tighten the ball nut. The crowfoot allows the torque wrench to access the nut on the threaded shank.
The manual does not specify whether a pin and clip are included with the 80410. Pin #5764 and clip #55515 are available for purchase separately if needed.
A positive retaining device (such as clip #55515) is required to prevent the pin from being lost during towing. Loss of the pin would result in separation of the trailer from the tow vehicle, which could cause serious personal injury, death, or property damage.
If the pin extends excessively below the clevis, it may strike the ground during towing. This can cause pin damage or loss and result in separation of the trailer from the tow vehicle. Always check ground clearance with a loaded trailer and tow vehicle before towing.
No. Do not use a long shank ball as a clevis pin. This could cause loss of attachment or failure of the ball and result in separation of the trailer, which could cause serious personal injury, death, or property damage.
Before towing, verify that: (1) the clevis pin is installed from the top and extends through both clevis members, (2) a positive retaining device is secured on the pin, (3) the pin does not extend excessively below the clevis, (4) ground clearance is adequate with a loaded trailer and tow vehicle, and (5) the trailer drawbar or eye cannot contact the shank tube or welds.
If the trailer drawbar or eye contacts the shank tube or welds, it can cause damage and lead to separation of the trailer from the tow vehicle. Ensure adequate clearance between the trailer drawbar and the shank tube before towing.
The 80410 is secured to the receiver with a 5/8-inch diameter pin. Verify your receiver has a compatible hole for this pin size. Consult your receiver documentation or the manufacturer for compatibility confirmation.
The 80410 accepts only a 1-inch diameter threaded shank ball. Do not use a long shank ball as a clevis pin.
You need a torque wrench with a crowfoot attachment to tighten the ball nut. A 5/8-inch pin and clip or locking device are required to secure the mount to the receiver.
The 80410 is rated for a maximum gross trailer weight of 6000 LB and maximum tongue weight of 600 LB. Do not exceed the ratings of your tow vehicle, receiver, or ball.
Yes. A positive retaining device (such as clip #55515) is required on the clevis pin. Never tow without one—loss of the pin will result in trailer separation.
Verify the clevis pin is installed from the top with a positive retaining device, does not extend excessively below the clevis, and that ground clearance is adequate with a loaded trailer. Ensure the trailer drawbar cannot contact the shank tube.
