Draw-Tite has designed custom-fit trailer hitches since 1946 and is one of North America's most widely fitted hitch brands. Receiver hitches use solid all-welded construction and low-profile designs that follow modern vehicle contours, install with minimal bumper cutting or drilling, meet or exceed V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards, and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Draw-Tite has been leading custom-fit trailer hitch design and engineering since its founding in 1946, and it remains one of the most widely fitted hitch brands in North America. The company's stated approach is straightforward: every hitch is tested rigorously so that it performs well beyond published industry standards, a philosophy it markets as Tested Tough. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Fulton, Bulldog, Tekonsha, Bargman and Wesbar.
Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

The 38735N is a 3" to 2" adapter that allows you to use a 2" ball mount with a vehicle that has a 3" receiver hitch opening. It reduces the receiver opening size from 3" to 2", enabling compatibility between different hitch and ball mount sizes.
Yes, the 38735N is designed to fit into 3" receiver openings. It converts the 3" opening to accept a 2" ball mount. However, you must verify that your hitch is a 20K or 25K rated hitch, as the adapter is designed to work with these hitch ratings.
The adapter allows you to use a 2" ball mount with your 3" receiver. However, the ball mount must not exceed the weight ratings of the adapter system. The maximum gross trailer weight is 12,000 lbs (11,340 kg) and maximum tongue weight is 1,200 lbs (1,814.4 kg). You must not exceed the lower of your towing vehicle manufacturer's rating or the ball mount rating.
You need a ¾" hitch pin to secure the adapter. This pin is supplied with your 20K or 25K hitch or 25K ball mount. The pin is inserted through the adapter and receiver to lock it in place.
No wrenches or drill bits are required. The adapter is a simple insertion-type installation that uses the ¾" hitch pin supplied with your hitch or ball mount to secure it in place.
1. Insert the 3" to 2" adapter into the 3" receiver opening. 2. Install the ¾" pin supplied with your 20K or 25K hitch or 25K ball mount and clip through the adapter to secure it. The adapter is now ready for use with your 2" ball mount.
The maximum gross trailer weight is 12,000 lbs (11,340 kg) and the maximum tongue weight is 1,200 lbs (1,814.4 kg). You must not exceed the lower of your towing vehicle manufacturer's rating or the ball mount rating. Exceeding these limits can damage the hitch and create a safety hazard.
Wear eye protection when working beneath your vehicle. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch. Observe general safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle. After installation, check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened.
Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. If the adapter or ball has been damaged, remove and replace it immediately. Regular inspection helps prevent failure during towing.
Check the hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. The manual does not specify an exact interval, but regular inspection before each towing use is recommended to ensure safe operation.
Yes. The 38735N adapter fits 3" receiver openings and converts them to accept 2" ball mounts. It is designed for 20K or 25K rated hitches.
No tools are required. The adapter simply inserts into the 3" receiver opening and is secured with the ¾" hitch pin supplied with your hitch or ball mount.
Maximum gross trailer weight is 12,000 lbs (11,340 kg) and maximum tongue weight is 1,200 lbs (1,814.4 kg). Do not exceed the lower of your vehicle manufacturer's rating or the ball mount rating.
Ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. Check the hitch frequently during use to maintain safe operation.
