Fulton has produced marine and utility trailer hardware for more than a century, and its jacks, winches and couplers are a standard for light and medium-duty trailering. The XLT and F2 series cover swivel and fixed jacks, hand and powered winches from 1,500 to 3,200 pounds, and couplers built to keep working in wet, salty conditions.
With more than a hundred years of production behind it, Fulton has become the reference point for light and medium-duty trailer hardware, particularly on the marine side. That environment is the toughest test a trailer component faces. A boat trailer is reversed into fresh or salt water on every launch and left to sit wet, which finds every weakness in plating, sealing and material choice. Fulton's stated position is that the brand performs best when the weather is at its worst, and its product engineering reflects that. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Draw-Tite, Bulldog, Tekonsha and Wesbar.
Marine and utility jacks anchor the line. The XLT Series marine jack uses a bolt-through swivel mount built from three-dimensionally formed heavy-gauge steel stampings with a proprietary bushing material, a combination chosen to minimise deflection under tongue load while keeping the swivel action working after years of exposure. The F2 Series takes corrosion resistance further as the industry's only extruded aluminium marine jack with an anodised finish, which removes the rust problem at its source rather than coating over it. The wider trailer jack range covers topwind, sidewind and drop-leg configurations.
Trailer winches pull boats onto bunks and rollers. XLT Series winches use efficient gear ratios, full-length drum bearings, oil-impregnated shaft bushings and a Comfort Grip handle that makes the last few turns under load bearable, in 1,500 and 1,800 pound capacities. F2 Series winches use an enclosed frame for a cleaner look and added protection, in 1,600, 2,000 and 3,200 pound models, including two-speed options that trade line speed for cranking effort.
Couplers complete the range, including A-frame couplers matched to common tongue sizes and load ratings, serving boat owners, utility trailer users and trailer manufacturers.

The F3294-00 is a manual hand-operated work winch manufactured by Cequent Performance Products. It is available in three capacity ratings: 1,000 lb., 1,500 lb., and 2,500 lb. The winch is designed for lifting and lowering loads using a hand crank and is rated for intermittent duty cycle operation only. It is not designed to move humans or to secure boats to trailers for towing.
No. Only winches with a minimum hub diameter of 1 3/4" can accommodate steel cable. The 1,000 lb. and 1,500 lb. models use a wrap guide for cable that wraps over the top of the drum, while the 2,500 lb. model has cable that wraps beneath the drum. Check your winch specifications to confirm hub diameter before using steel cable.
The winch requires three Grade 5, 3/8" diameter bolts, flat washers, and lock nuts. Mounting bolts vary in length for each application, so you must determine the correct length for your specific mounting surface. The mounting hardware is not supplied with the winch and must be obtained separately.
The winch stand must be capable of supporting at least five times the rated capacity of the winch. For example, a 1,000 lb. winch requires a stand rated for at least 5,000 lbs. The mounting surface must also be equal to or greater than the footprint of the winch frame.
Attaching a rope requires no bolts, nuts, or clamps. The rope must weave through the drum outer wall and be secured beneath itself, as shown in the manual illustration. Do not remove the drum to install the rope.
Pass the cable from the inside of the drum through one of the dimpled holes in the outer plate. Loop the cable around the drum bearing, under itself, and leave 1" of cable extending past the clamp location. Torque the clamp nuts to approximately 2 ft-lbs. Do not remove the drum to install the cable.
Assemble the handle onto the flatted input shaft end. Tighten the 1/2"-13 locknut against the handle and torque to 22-25 ft-lbs. Do not over torque. Do not adjust the double locknuts on the long end of the input shaft.
When bolting the winch down, use three Grade 5, 3/8" diameter bolts, flat washers, and lock nuts and torque to 28-30 ft-lbs.
Tighten the 1/2"-13 locknut against the handle and torque to 22-25 ft-lbs. Do not over torque.
Torque the clamp nuts to approximately 2 ft-lbs.
Winches require a maximum of 45 lbs of handle force to pull their rated load. If you cannot crank the winch with one hand, you are potentially overloading the winch. Excessive force in turning the winch handle may indicate overload.
A loud clicking sound from the ratchet must be heard when lifting the load. If a loud clicking sound is not heard, do not use the winch and replace ratchet components immediately. No clicking will be heard when lowering because the brake system is activated.
Always maintain a minimum of three (3) complete wraps of cable or rope on the drum.
No. Do not use the winch to move humans. The winch is designed for manual operation only and is rated for lifting loads, not people.
Prior to use, inspect the rope or cable and replace if damaged. Check mounting hardware for proper torque and re-torque if necessary. Gears, ratchet pivot point and shaft bushings must be kept lubricated with a thin oil or grease.
Assure there is adequate safety factor of at least 3 times the maximum load for all components used. This applies to the cable, attachments, and any other components in the load path.
No. Never leave a weight supported from the winch while the winch is unattended, as another person may attempt to operate the winch, thereby creating an unsafe condition.
Never use worn, kinked, or frayed cable. Always inspect the cable and its attachment before each use to make sure they are not damaged. If the cable or attachment breaks, the cable will whip violently, causing property damage, serious bodily injury, and/or death. Replace damaged cable or rope immediately.
No. Winches are not designed to secure boats to trailers for towing. Boat-specific tie-down straps or securing devices should be used for this purpose.
Gears, ratchet pivot point and shaft bushings must be kept lubricated with a thin oil or grease. At least annually, apply a drop or two of #30 weight engine oil to each bushing I.D. and to the ratchet pawl pivot points. Maintain a thin layer of marine grease on the gear teeth and shaft threads. Do not get oil or grease on the friction discs, as this could allow the load to slip or fall.
The following procedures should be performed at least annually: inspect rope or cable and replace if damaged; check mounting hardware for proper torque and re-torque if necessary; apply #30 weight engine oil to bushings and ratchet pawl pivot points; maintain a thin layer of marine grease on gear teeth and shaft threads.
Apply #30 weight engine oil to each bushing I.D. and to the ratchet pawl pivot points. Maintain a thin layer of marine grease on the gear teeth and shaft threads.
No. Do not get oil or grease on the friction discs. This could allow the load to slip or fall. The friction discs must be kept free of grease or oil.
Check the final installation and make sure the winch is secure to the mounting structure. Verify that the mounting bolts are torqued to 28-30 ft-lbs and that the winch frame is properly seated on the mounting surface.
Periodically check mounting hardware for proper torque and tighten if necessary. This should be done at least before each use and as part of annual maintenance.
Yes, but only if the winch has a minimum hub diameter of 1 3/4". The 1,000 lb. and 1,500 lb. models wrap cable over the top of the drum, while the 2,500 lb. model wraps cable beneath the drum.
Three Grade 5, 3/8" diameter bolts with flat washers and lock nuts. Bolt length varies by application and is not supplied.
The stand must support at least 5 times the winch's rated capacity, and the mounting surface must be equal to or larger than the winch frame footprint.
Mounting bolts: 28-30 ft-lbs. Handle locknut (1/2"-13): 22-25 ft-lbs. Cable clamp nuts: approximately 2 ft-lbs.
Maximum 45 lbs of handle force to pull the rated load. If you cannot crank with one hand, the winch is overloaded.
Always maintain a minimum of three (3) complete wraps of cable or rope on the drum.
At least annually: inspect cable/rope; check mounting hardware torque; apply #30 weight engine oil to bushings and ratchet pivot points; maintain marine grease on gear teeth and shaft threads. Never apply oil or grease to friction discs.
If a loud clicking sound is not heard when lifting, do not use the winch. Replace the ratchet components immediately. The clicking sound indicates the ratchet pawl is properly engaged and holding the load safely.
If you cannot crank the winch with one hand, you are potentially overloading the winch. Excessive force in turning the winch handle may indicate overload. Reduce the load immediately. The winch requires a maximum of 45 lbs of handle force to pull its rated load.
Do not get oil or grease on the friction discs, as this could allow the load to slip or fall. Inspect the friction discs and clean them if contaminated with oil or grease. Also verify that the cable is securely fastened to both the object being lifted and the winch drum, and that the ratchet pawl is fully engaged.
