Fulton has produced marine and utility trailer hardware for more than a century, and its jacks, winches and couplers are a standard for light and medium-duty trailering. The XLT and F2 series cover swivel and fixed jacks, hand and powered winches from 1,500 to 3,200 pounds, and couplers built to keep working in wet, salty conditions.
With more than a hundred years of production behind it, Fulton has become the reference point for light and medium-duty trailer hardware, particularly on the marine side. That environment is the toughest test a trailer component faces. A boat trailer is reversed into fresh or salt water on every launch and left to sit wet, which finds every weakness in plating, sealing and material choice. Fulton's stated position is that the brand performs best when the weather is at its worst, and its product engineering reflects that. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Draw-Tite, Bulldog, Tekonsha and Wesbar.
Marine and utility jacks anchor the line. The XLT Series marine jack uses a bolt-through swivel mount built from three-dimensionally formed heavy-gauge steel stampings with a proprietary bushing material, a combination chosen to minimise deflection under tongue load while keeping the swivel action working after years of exposure. The F2 Series takes corrosion resistance further as the industry's only extruded aluminium marine jack with an anodised finish, which removes the rust problem at its source rather than coating over it. The wider trailer jack range covers topwind, sidewind and drop-leg configurations.
Trailer winches pull boats onto bunks and rollers. XLT Series winches use efficient gear ratios, full-length drum bearings, oil-impregnated shaft bushings and a Comfort Grip handle that makes the last few turns under load bearable, in 1,500 and 1,800 pound capacities. F2 Series winches use an enclosed frame for a cleaner look and added protection, in 1,600, 2,000 and 3,200 pound models, including two-speed options that trade line speed for cranking effort.

Tongue jacks are available in six mounting styles: bolt-on rack jack, bolt-on mounting bracket, snap ring, bolt-thru, A-plate (for A-plate couplers), direct-mount (weld-on), and weld-on pivot tube (round or square). Choose based on your trailer coupler type and tongue configuration.
No. These jacks are not designed for mounting to round tongues. They are designed for flat or rectangular tongue profiles.
Welding is required only for weld-on mounting styles: direct-mount, A-plate (if separate from jack), and pivot tube mounts. Bolt-on, snap ring, and bolt-thru models do not require welding. All welding must be performed by an AWS certified welder.
Torque all mounting bolts and locknuts to 25 ft. lbs. for bolt-on rack jacks and bolt-on mounting brackets. For A-plate jacks, use three 3/8-16 grade 5 bolts with washers, torqued to 15-20 ft. lbs.
The gap between mounting bolts and the tongue must not exceed 1/16 inch (1.5 mm). Upper bolts should rest on top of the tongue; lower bolts should be less than 1/16 inch from the bottom.
Fully retract and rotate the jack before towing. If using an optional drop foot or caster, always remove it before towing to maximize ground clearance.

No. A-plate jacks are designed specifically for mounting to trailers with A-plate couplers only. They are not compatible with other coupler types.
Before mounting, confirm there will be no interference from the tow vehicle, tongue, ground, or any other mounted accessories while stationary or in motion. Check for interference in all positions, including handle swing and swivel positions if applicable. Check again after installation is complete. Verify the correct mounting hole pattern for your tongue size.
The manual does not address battery disconnection. Tongue jacks are mechanical devices without electrical components, so battery disconnection is not required.
1) Place the gear housing on the tongue and insert the supplied bolts into holes corresponding to the tongue width. 2) Place the mounting bracket below the tongue with the flat surface against the tongue. 3) Secure with locknuts and torque to 25 ft. lbs.

1) Place the jack bracket over the mount and place the snap ring in the groove. 2) Seat the snap ring fully into the groove. Before installation, inspect the snap ring groove and remove any debris to ensure proper seating.
1) Place the jack bracket into the recessed opening on the mount. 2) Place the small end of the bushing into the jack bracket and onto the bolt. 3) Tighten the locknut until there is little movement in the bushing. The bolt should be installed between the trailer tongue and mount; the jack bracket will be held by the bushing between the locknut and the mount.

These jacks are designed for vertical loading only. Excessive side forces may cause jack failure and must be avoided. Do not apply lateral or horizontal forces to the jack.
Before manually moving the trailer, crank the jack to its lowest position. This ensures the jack is fully retracted and will not interfere with ground clearance or towing.
When using a drop foot or drop leg, make certain the supplied pin is fully inserted through both sides of the inner tube and the drop tube before using the jack. Never attempt to adjust the drop foot or drop leg when there is any load on the jack. Always remove the drop foot or caster before towing to maximize ground clearance.
If the product is a swivel jack, lock the plunger pin into a hole in the mounting bracket before raising or lowering the tongue. This prevents unintended rotation during operation.
If the product has a pivot tube mount, make certain the pivot pin is fully inserted through both sides of the pivot tube and the pivot mount before using the jack. This ensures the jack is securely attached and will not separate during operation.
No. This product is not intended to be used as a transport device for the implement it is attached to. Minimize movement of the implement while the jack is under load. The jack is designed only to support the tongue weight for coupling and uncoupling.
Operator and bystanders should never position any part of their body under any portion of the jack or the load being supported. Do not allow children to play on or around the product or the load being supported. Always maintain a safe distance from the jack during operation.
Secure the load, vehicle and trailer from rolling by blocking the wheels when operating the jack or coupling the trailer. This prevents accidental movement and ensures safe operation.
After installation is complete, check for interference again in all positions, including handle swing and swivel positions if applicable. Verify clearance of the handle, trailer light cables, and coupler. Ensure all bolts are torqued to specification and all welds are complete and sound.
Apply a small amount of automotive grease to the internal gearing by removing the jack cover, or if equipped, use a needle nose applicator or standard grease gun on the lubrication point found on the side of the jack near the crank. Rotate the jack handle to distribute the grease evenly. Perform this at least annually.
A lightweight oil must be applied to the handle unit at both sides of the tube for side-wind models. Perform this at least annually.

The limited warranty does not cover: (a) normal wear and tear; (b) damage through abuse, neglect, misuse, or as a result of any accident; (c) damage from misapplication, overloading, or improper installation, including welds; (d) improper maintenance and repair; and (e) product alteration in any manner by anyone other than Cequent, except alterations made pursuant to product instructions and in a workmanlike manner.
No. The purchaser/owner must not alter or modify the product. Any modifications not performed by Cequent Performance Products or not made pursuant to product instructions will void the warranty and may compromise safety.
The locknut may not be tightened sufficiently. Tighten the locknut until there is little movement in the bushing. The bushing should be snug but still allow the jack bracket to function properly. Do not over-tighten, as this can damage the bushing.
The snap ring groove may contain debris or the snap ring may not be fully seated. Inspect the snap ring groove and remove any debris. Seat the snap ring fully into the groove, ensuring it is completely seated on all sides. If the snap ring continues to slip, the groove may be damaged and the jack should be inspected by a qualified technician.
Interference may occur if the jack was not checked for clearance before installation or if the mounting position is incorrect. Verify that the jack is mounted in the correct position and that all bolts are torqued to specification. Check for interference in all positions, including handle swing and swivel positions. If interference persists, the jack may need to be repositioned or a different mounting style may be required.
The jack may not be holding the load due to several reasons: (1) the load exceeds the jack's rated capacity; (2) the jack is not fully extended or is being subjected to side forces; (3) internal components are worn or damaged; (4) the jack has not been properly maintained or lubricated. The jack may be difficult to crank due to lack of lubrication or internal wear. Ensure the jack has been lubricated according to the maintenance schedule. If the jack remains difficult to crank after lubrication, internal components may be worn and the jack should be inspected by a qualified technician.
