GEN-Y Hitch builds heavy-duty adjustable drop hitches and towing products engineered around torsion suspension. The lineup includes the Mega-Duty, Torsion-Flex and Phantom series ball mounts, gooseneck and pintle options, and running boards. Torsion technology absorbs road shock at the hitch instead of transmitting it into the tow vehicle and trailer.
GEN-Y Hitch started, as the company puts it, as an idea, and grew into a manufacturer of heavy-duty towing equipment built around one engineering concept: shock absorption at the connection point. Conventional adjustable drop hitches are solid steel, so every joint in the pavement and every start and stop passes straight from trailer to truck. GEN-Y builds torsion suspension into the ball mount itself, using rubber torsion cords that let the hitch move in a controlled way and take the sting out of the ride.
The Torsion-Flex series is the clearest expression of that. Its cushioned ball mounts reduce the jolts felt through the truck and the corresponding load spikes at the trailer frame and coupler, which matters most for equipment trailers, enclosed trailers and anything carrying cargo that does not appreciate being shaken. For those who want maximum capacity in a solid design, the Mega-Duty series covers the heaviest adjustable drop hitch ratings, while the Phantom series offers a lighter, more compact adjustable option for owners whose towing sits below that ceiling.
