HappiJac has built truck camper and RV hardware for more than 50 years. The line covers electric bed lift systems for fifth wheels and toy haulers, fully upgradeable acme screw camper jacks with a redundant safety nut, and a patented frame-mount tie-down system with Qwik-Load turnbuckles that controls camper movement in every direction.
HappiJac, a Lippert brand, has been producing hardware for the RV industry for more than fifty years, developing products through extensive research and testing rather than incremental change. Its three specialities are electric bed lifts, truck camper jacks and camper tie-down systems, and in each case the engineering addresses a specific weakness in how the job was previously done.
Bed lifts apply vertical motion where slide-outs use horizontal. In a fifth wheel or toy hauler, raising the bed to the ceiling frees the floor below for cargo, seating or a second sleeping area, effectively doubling the use of a single footprint. A direct-drive motor and a patented self-contained track hold the bed securely at any height from the flip of a switch, with no pins or locking components to set up or store, and one person can operate the whole system. Owners can also simply set a comfortable bed height and stop climbing in and out.
Truck camper jacks use an acme screw design with a redundant safety check: an additional safety nut carries the load if the primary nut fails. The concave footpad reduces movement compared with a large convex pad, the polished steel screw runs in a self-lubricating friction-reducing nut, and each jack delivers more than 34 inches of lift. Two-inch square tubing is significantly stronger than round tube, and inner and outer tubes are both powder coated against rust. A universal Z-bracket mounting system fits or retrofits most campers, with a swing-out bracket available for dual-wheel trucks. Replacement parts are stocked separately.
The frame-mount tie-down system is the brand's most distinctive engineering. Rather than clamping between bed and frame like a crowbar, it triangulates directly to the truck frame to form an I-beam truss, controlling movement front to back, side to side and up and down, along with yaw, pitch and roll. Qwik-Load turnbuckles use a stainless body and half-inch solid steel hook supporting 4,000 pounds each, with lever action for fast setup, and matching anchor points complete the system.
