Liners are moulded to exact bed dimensions for a specific make, model and bed length rather than trimmed to fit, using high-density polyethylene and reinforced composites that resist cracking under load.
Rugged Liner was founded on the premise that truck bed protection should be as tough as the trucks it goes into. The company began manufacturing bed liners and tonneau covers in the United States after seeing too many products fail under genuine working conditions, and it still controls every step of production rather than outsourcing. Its customers are people who use a pickup rather than commute in one: contractors hauling equipment, landscapers, farmers, and owners loading gear for the weekend.
The core product is the truck bed liner, offered in under-rail and over-rail configurations. Each one is moulded to the exact dimensions of a specific make, model and bed length, so it drops in without universal approximations, gaps at the bulkhead or trimming at the wheel arches. Follow this order: (1) Place one plastic spacer (D) on top of each of the six holes on the metal tailgate. (2) Place the plastic tailgate piece on top of the six spacers. (3) Place the six plastic washers (C) on top of the plastic tailgate piece at the six hole locations. (4) Insert and tighten the six screws (which you removed from the verification plate) using a T20 Torx screwdriver.
Drop the bedliner (A) straight down, then push the side walls under the truck side rails. Make sure the center locking column on each side is fully engaged under the rail lip. Ensure the driver's side rear cleat passes through the slot in the bedliner.
If your truck is equipped with optional tie-downs, you must remove only the lower rear passenger tie-down (5) before dropping the bedliner into place. After the bedliner is installed, reinstall this tie-down.
If your vehicle is equipped with the optional 110v power outlet, you must cut out the scribe lines found on the back side of the bedliner to allow access to the outlet. Use a utility knife for this task.
