The line covers complete patio awning kits, power and hybrid arm assemblies, slide toppers, screen rooms, shades and replacement fabric, with universal hardware that fits Solera, Dometic and Carefree awnings alike.
Solera is Lippert's RV awning brand, and its defining characteristic is that it was built with replacement in mind. Awnings take more abuse than almost anything else on a recreational vehicle: fabric bakes in the sun, arms get caught by wind, and mechanisms wear through hundreds of extend and retract cycles. Rather than treating an awning as a sealed original-equipment assembly, Solera designs hardware for universal fit, so an owner can repair, power up or completely replace what is already on the rig regardless of who built it.
That universal approach is the practical heart of the range. Solera arms and hardware fit Dometic and A&E eight-foot extension awnings including the 8500, 9000, 9100, Sunchaser and Weather Pro, Carefree Spirit, Fiesta, Simplicity, Traveler and Eclipse models, and Solera's own 18V Power, Hybrid and Classic Manual units. Complete awning kits cover a full replacement, while power and hybrid arm assemblies convert a manual awning to motorised operation.
Universal replacement fabric is made from heavy-duty 13.5-ounce vinyl, cold-crack tested to twenty-five degrees below zero Fahrenheit, with heat-welded leak-resistant seams and a choice of sizes and colours. Replacing fabric alone is a realistic weekend job for most owners and considerably cheaper than a new awning. The 5000 Series slide topper shields a slide-out roof from dirt, leaves and standing water, with matching slide topper fabric available separately.
Screen rooms and shade panels turn the area under a patio awning into an enclosed outdoor room, keeping insects and low sun out. A full range of awning replacement parts covers rollers, end caps, motors, springs and fasteners, and Lippert's 3D awning builder lets owners configure and view a complete setup before ordering.
