Yes. Hardware is not included with the tool box. You must purchase your own bolts, nuts and washers. The manual provides torque specifications for common bolt sizes (M6, M8, M10, M12 metric and 1/4", 5/16", 3/8", 7/16", 1/2" SAE) to help you select appropriate fasteners.
Park the truck on level ground. Before drilling, check under your vehicle to ensure the drill location does not puncture, cut or obstruct brake lines, fuel lines, electrical wires, fuel tanks or other components. Take precaution that fasteners near the fuel tank do not create the possibility of fuel tank puncture or damage during a collision.
Place the tool box on the bed rail of the truck with the handles and logo plate facing outward. The tool box must be level before securing.
1. Place one leg on a corner of the tool box that is not resting on the bed rail. 2. Use a square to ensure the leg is vertical and at the appropriate height so it rests on the truck bed. 3. Mark two mounting locations to attach the leg to the box. 4. Drill two holes through the leg and tool box corner. 5. Secure the leg with purchased hardware. 6. Repeat on the other end of the tool box. For added security, the legs may be bolted to the truck bed.
