Some automotive manufacturers install a special socket on the vehicle to be used for vehicle-to-trailer wiring. Reinstall the fascia support brackets and fasteners. 5. Torque all M12 fasteners to 79 ft-lbs. 6. Return the center fascia panel and fasteners to the owner.
You do not need to fully remove the rear fascia. You only need to remove the 4 plastic push fasteners and 2 nuts securing the fascia support brackets, then pull down on the rear fascia to access the mounting area. The fascia support brackets are removed and reinstalled after the hitch is secured.
