You must remove the driver side underbody panel (5 fasteners) and the factory tow loop (2 bolts). The underbody panel and its fasteners are reinstalled after hitch installation. The tow loop and its bolts should be returned to the vehicle owner.
1. Remove the driver side underbody panel (5 fasteners). 2. Remove the 2 tow loop bolts and tow loop; return these to the owner. 3. Raise the hitch into position, starting with the passenger side, and secure using M12-1.25 x 30mm bolts and 1/2" conical toothed washers. 4. Torque all M12 hardware to 86 ft-lbs. 5. Reinstall the underbody panel.
All M12 hardware (M12-1.25 x 30mm bolts) must be torqued to 86 ft-lbs.
The hitch includes 4 M12x1.25x30mm hex cap screws (part number 10-10419) and 4 1/2" conical toothed washers (part number 30-00149). These fasteners secure the hitch to the existing weldnuts on the vehicle frame rails.
All non-trailer (wheel-less) loads applied to this hitch must be supported by CURT 18050 stabilizing straps. Failure to properly support non-trailer loads will void the product warranty. See the CURT catalog or visit www.curtmfg.com for further information.
