Magnum Lift Systems has built hydraulic and electric trailer jack systems in Missouri since 1995. The veteran-owned company makes single and two-speed electric jack conversion kits, single and dual hydraulic lifts rated to 12,000 and 24,000 pounds, and 8,000 pound bumper lifts, all with manual override and no welding required on conversion kits.
Magnum Lift Systems has been in the hydraulic and electric jack business since 1995, founded in Ellington, Missouri and now operating from Ashland. The current owners came to the brand as customers, having run Magnum lifts on their own trailers, and bought the company in 2024 with the stated aim of preserving how the products were built rather than changing it. The business is veteran-owned and manufactures in the United States.
The problem the products solve is familiar to anyone with a heavy tongue: cranking a manual jack up and down is slow, awkward and hard on the back, and it gets worse as trailers get bigger. Magnum's answer comes in two forms. Electric conversion kits mount onto an existing jack and drive it with a motor, which means the original jack leg stays in place and installation requires no welding. Single-speed and two-speed versions are offered, the latter giving a fast travel range and a slow high-torque range under load. These fit most four-inch 10,000 to 12,000 pound manual trailer jacks.
Hydraulic systems take a different approach and replace the manual leg entirely, which can involve welding depending on the trailer. Single units are rated at 12,000 pounds, dual systems at 24,000 pounds, and a bumper-style hydraulic lift covers 8,000 pound applications with a triangle mounting plate. These suit larger gooseneck and equipment trailers and owners hitching several times a day, where powered jacks pay for themselves in time and effort.
Every electric and hydraulic system includes a manual override so a power failure or dead battery never leaves a trailer stranded on its nose. Kits ship complete with the hardware needed for installation, products are covered by a two-year manufacturer's warranty, and replacement parts and hydraulic cylinders are stocked separately. Buyers should match a system to their trailer's tongue weight and gross vehicle weight rating, and to whether they need a bumper-style or heavier four-inch heavy-duty jack.
