Yes, the 14-19 Ford Fiesta Hatchback CURT 4-flat Plug and Play Trailer Wiring (Part #CTW927) is designed to fit the 2014-2019 Ford Fiesta.
The 14-19 Ford Fiesta Hatchback CURT 4-flat Plug and Play Trailer Wiring (Part #CTW927) Refer to the included instructions for installation details. Basic hand tools are typically all you need.
Yes, the Curt 56191 T-Connector is designed for Ford Fiesta Hatchback. This harness integrates with the vehicle's factory taillight wiring to provide trailer lighting control.
You must remove the rear hatch floor coverings, the rear scuff panel (secured by two Torx T-30 head screws), and the trunk liner trim on both sides. This provides access to the taillight wiring harness connectors where the T-Connector is installed.
You will need a Torx T-30 screwdriver to remove the rear scuff panel screws, a Phillips screwdriver to remove the trim screws on both sides of the hatch, and a 3/32" drill bit if you need to create a grounding hole (an existing screw with nut in the vehicle frame may be used instead). Cable ties are provided for wire management.
Drilling is not required if you can locate an existing screw with a nut in the vehicle's frame to use as a grounding point. If no suitable existing fastener is available, you will need to drill a 3/32" hole to secure the white ground wire eyelet using the screw provided. Before drilling, verify that no miscellaneous items are hidden behind or under the surface to avoid damage and personal injury.
On the driver's side, locate the vehicle's taillight wiring harness connectors. Separate the connectors carefully without damaging the locking tabs. Insert the T-Connector end with the yellow wire between the separated connectors, ensuring the connectors are fully inserted with locking tabs in place. Repeat this process on the passenger side using the T-Connector end with the green wire, routing it behind the trunk liner and removed scuff panel.
The yellow wire connects to the driver's side taillight wiring harness, and the green wire connects to the passenger side taillight wiring harness. Together, they allow the T-Connector to integrate with both sides of the vehicle's lighting system for trailer control.
The white ground wire provides the ground connection for the T-Connector harness. It must be secured to a grounding point near the connector, either by using an existing screw with nut in the vehicle's frame or by drilling a 3/32" hole and securing the eyelet using the provided screw.
Locate a flat spot on the vehicle's frame and adhere the black converter box using the double-sided tape provided. The converter box should be positioned near the taillight connector area for optimal wiring integration.
Use the provided cable ties to secure any loose wires. This keeps the installation neat and prevents wires from becoming caught or damaged during vehicle operation.
When in use, route the 4-flat connector out from under the felt trunk liner to the center of the vehicle. When not in use, roll it up and store it in an out-of-the-way location to protect it from damage.
The Curt 56191 has the following maximum load ratings: Signal Circuits: 3.0 Amps; Tail/Running Light Circuits: 7.5 Amps. Do not exceed the product's load rating or the tow vehicle's lamp load rating, whichever is lower. Exceeding these limits can cause loss of warranty, overheating, and potentially fire. Check your vehicle owner's manual or contact the vehicle manufacturer for your vehicle's lamp load rating.
Before drilling, verify that no miscellaneous items are hidden behind or under any surface. This precaution avoids damage to hidden components and prevents personal injury.
