The kit includes: (4) 7/16-14 UNC grade 8 bolts (part 10-10282), (4) 0.250 x 0.88 x 2.25" square hole spacers (CM-SP2), (4) 7/16-14 UNC grade 8 serrated flange nuts (20-00103), and (4) 7/16" fishwires. Installation method depends on whether your vehicle has factory hardware or not.
The first step is to lower the exhaust by removing (2) bolts from each rear exhaust hanger bracket (1 per side) using a 13mm socket. For 2022 and newer models, if present, also remove the plastic shroud connecting the frame and bumper cover rear of the muffler and return it to the vehicle owner.
If your vehicle has factory hardware: (1) Lower the exhaust by removing (2) bolts from each rear exhaust hanger bracket using a 13mm socket. (2) Remove (4) M10-1.5 x 40mm bolts from the outside of the frame rails with a 16mm socket (2 per side). (3) Raise the hitch into position and reinstall the (4) M10 bolts. Torque all M10 bolts to 45 ft-lbs. (4) Raise the exhaust back into position and reinstall remaining fasteners.
If your vehicle does not have factory hardware: (1) Lower the exhaust by removing (2) bolts from each rear exhaust hanger bracket using a 13mm socket. (2) Fishwire the 7/16" carriage bolt and CM-SP2 spacer through the access hole in the bottom of the frame rails and leave in the frame. (3) Raise the hitch into position, feeding fishwires through the mounting holes in the hitch. Pull the hardware out of the frame and secure the hitch with 7/16" nuts. Torque all 7/16" hardware to 59 ft-lbs. (4) Raise the exhaust back into position and reinstall remaining fasteners.
All M10 bolts should be torqued to 45 ft-lbs. This applies to vehicles with factory hardware.
