The manual states: "Make sure electrical wires are not damaged by supporting the taillight" (Step 4). If wires are damaged during removal, do not proceed with installation. Consult a qualified automotive electrician to repair the damaged wires before continuing. Damaged electrical wiring can create safety hazards and affect vehicle operation.
