These custom receiver hitches are built to tackle bigger jobs and bolder adventures, all while giving you a custom fit for your vehicle. Class 4 hitches are available for a variety of makes and models, from pickup trucks and SUVs to full-size and commercial vans. This particular class 4 hitch fits certain years of the Ford F350 Super Duty, F450 Super Duty, F550 Super Duty and F650 (to verify vehicle compatibility, see application info). It provides a weight carrying capacity of 10,000 lbs. GTW and 1,000 lbs. TW. It can also accept a weight distributing hitch, offering a maximum WD capacity of 12,000 lbs. and a WDTW of 1,200 lbs. CURT class 4 tow hitches are as much suited for work as they are for play. With their high load capacities, they are typically used for towing larger trailers, including everything from a double-axle utility trailer or livestock trailer to a full-length camper or large boat trailer (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest weight capacity of any towing component). All CURT class 4 receiver hitches come with a 2" receiver tube opening and all the necessary hardware for a complete installation. From light-duty to heavy-duty, every CURT custom hitch is engineered to be vehicle-specific, using actual vehicles to create the optimal design. We then combine high-strength steel, precise welding and a co-cured finish of liquid A-coat and durable black powder coat to provide you with a hitch you can depend on. To prove it, we test all our hitches in accordance with SAE J684 for safety.
CURT custom wiring is made with some of the most sophisticated technology in the industry and is designed to install with ease, giving you a long-lasting electrical connection for your towing setup. If your vehicle is not equipped with wiring for towing a trailer, CURT custom wiring is the ideal solution. A custom wiring harness (also called a T-connector) is a simple, plug-and-play electrical device that plugs into your vehicle's electrical system and provides a standard trailer wiring connection. This is done using two or more vehicle-specific, OEM-compatible connectors to plug into the taillight assembly, eliminating the need for cutting, splicing and soldering during installation. Custom wiring harnesses are made vehicle-specific, and while they are not available for all vehicles, they do offer one of the fastest, easiest and most secure ways to wire a vehicle for towing. This particular harness provides a 7-way RV blade connector socket and is designed to be a custom wiring harness for certain years of the Ford F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550, F-650 Super Duty (see application info to verify fitment). It comes with all necessary wiring components to establish a reliable trailer wiring connection, as well as a dust cover to keep the connector clean when not in use. The kit includes 10 bolts (1/2-13 UNC, Grade 8, part 10-10288), 10 serrated flange nuts (1/2-13 UNC, Grade 8, part 20-00062), 4 square hole spacers (0.250 x 1.50 x 2.00", part CM-SP1), and 2 cylindrical spacers (0.313", part CM-SP142).
A 9/16" drill bit is required to drill the front mounting holes. A clamp is needed to hold the hitch in position during alignment and drilling. A torque wrench is required to torque all fasteners to 110 lb.-ft. Standard wrenches or sockets for 1/2-13 fasteners are also needed.
Yes. Drilling is required. You must drill one hole on each side of the frame using a 9/16" drill bit at the rearmost mounting location. The hitch uses existing factory holes at the back of the frame and newly drilled holes at the front.
A 9/16" drill bit is required to drill the front mounting holes in the frame.
Raise the hitch into position and clamp it in place. Use the rivet clearance holes in the side plates as alignment guides to ensure the hitch is properly positioned before marking and drilling the front mounting holes.
Fasten the hitch to the frame holes at the back first, then to the newly drilled holes at the front. After the hitch is secured, attach the mounting plates and fasten them to the truck as shown in the diagram.
All hardware must be torqued to 110 lb.-ft.

Part 56443 is designed for trucks with factory connectors located on the driver-side frame rail or rear-most cross member. Check your vehicle's frame rail and rear cross member for existing connectors that match the appearance of those shown in the manual. If your truck has these factory connectors, the harness is compatible. If you cannot locate matching connectors, your vehicle may not be equipped for this product.
Part 56443 is a custom wiring harness that connects to a 7-way RV blade connector for trailer lighting and braking functions. It routes from the vehicle's factory connectors to a round USCAR plug that mounts to the vehicle, allowing you to connect a trailer with compatible wiring.
You need a flathead screwdriver. Cable ties are also recommended to secure loose wires during routing. A test light, 7-way RV blade tester, or functioning trailer is required to verify proper function after installation.
Yes. Before beginning installation, locate your vehicle's battery in the engine compartment (typically on the passenger side for most gas engines, and on both sides for some gas engines and all diesel engines) and disconnect the negative battery terminal. Fasten this wire down and away from the battery while completing the installation.
The factory connectors are located on the driver-side frame rail or the rear-most cross member of your vehicle. They will resemble the connectors included with your new custom wiring harness. Separate these connectors from their dust covers carefully, taking care not to damage the locking tabs.
Route the harness to the 7-way mounting location on your vehicle. Install the round USCAR plug into the 7-way RV blade connector and mount it to the vehicle. Use cable ties as needed to secure any loose wires along the route. Once mounted, reconnect the negative battery terminal if it was disconnected.
After connecting the 12-volt power wire to the harness and reconnecting the battery, verify that the harness is functioning by attaching the battery and testing with a test light, 7-way RV blade tester, or a functioning trailer. This confirms all connections are working properly before towing.
