It provides a weight carrying capacity of 5,000 lbs. GTW and 500 lbs. TW. CURT class 3 trailer hitches are typically used to attach and haul utility trailers, boat trailers, campers, snowmobile or ATV haulers and more (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest-rated towing component). Each class 3 hitch has a 2" receiver tube and is tested in accordance with SAE J684 for safety. To ensure that CURT class 3 receiver hitches have what it takes for serious trailering, they are designed using a hands-on approach and are constructed with rugged, high-strength steel and precise welding. We also protect our class 3 hitches in a co-cured finish of liquid A-coat and black powder coat for superior resistance to rust, chipping and UV damage.

The kit includes: 4 spacers (CM-SP108, 2.00 × 0.88 × 0.125 inch), 8 lock washers 7/16 inch (30-00184), 4 hex nuts 7/16-14 UNC Grade 8 (20-00147), 4 carriage bolts 7/16-14 UNC 1-1/2 inch Grade 8 (10-10282), 4 M10×1.5 45 mm socket head cap screws Class 10.9 (10-10414), and 4 flat washers 3/8 inch (30-00186).
Torque the M10×1.5 socket head cap screws (part 10-10414) to 45 lb-ft.
Torque the 7/16-14 UNC carriage bolts (part 10-10282) to 59 lb-ft.
The hitch mounts to the tow loop extensions projecting from the driver and passenger side frame rails, and uses the angled plate on the vehicle center. The hitch attaches to existing weld nuts on both sides of the frame.
Yes, room to wrench fasteners is limited. Wrenching may be easier from the rear of the vehicle.
