A CURT trailer hitch is the key to pursuing your passions, whether you're taking the family boat out for an afternoon on the water or packing up the mountain bikes for a day on the trails. This CURT class 2 hitch is perfect for towing a small trailer, such as a boat trailer, lightweight camper or utility trailer. It can also be used to mount a hitch cargo carrier or bike rack (never exceed the lowest-rated towing component). Like all CURT custom hitches, this class 2 trailer hitch is made for a vehicle-specific fit. It is engineered to seamlessly integrate with select years of the Toyota Sienna (see application info to verify fitment). It is rated for 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. It is also equipped with 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" hitch receiver to accept the included ball mount. The ball mount that comes with this hitch kit has a 3/4" trailer ball hole and can be positioned in the drop or rise orientation for level towing with your specific trailer (trailer ball not included). Like all CURT custom receiver hitches, this class 2 hitch is designed, manufactured, finished and tested with the utmost care. It is engineered for a precise fit, easy installation, maximum towing strength and an integrated look on the vehicle. It is also tested to SAE J684 protocols for safety. This class 2 trailer hitch is finished with our industry-leading dual-coat process for unparalleled rust, chip and UV resistance. It is descaled for a smooth surface, submersed in liquid A-coat for rust prevention inside and out, covered with a highly durable powder coat, and finally co-cured for a dependable shield against the elements. This class 2 hitch comes with a ball mount, hitch pin and mounting hardware for a complete installation.

Original price was $472.85. Current price is $347.92.Yes, Curt part number 120653 is designed for the Toyota Sienna. It is a weight-carrying hitch with a gross load capacity of 3,500 lbs trailer weight and 350 lbs tongue weight. Do not exceed your vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity.
You will need: ratchet, torque wrench, 6" extension, 19mm socket, screwdriver, and aviation shears. The torque wrench is essential because all M12 fasteners must be torqued to 86 ft-lbs.
No drilling is required. However, trimming of the underbody panel may be required if present. You must mark the panel for trimming and confirm fit before cutting. Some models have a lip that protrudes down which will also need to be trimmed.
All M12 hex bolts must be torqued to 86 ft-lbs using a torque wrench.
The hitch has a gross load capacity of 3,500 lbs trailer weight and 350 lbs tongue weight. However, you must not exceed your vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity, which may be lower.
Non-trailer loads can be applied to this hitch only if they are supported by Curt part number 18050 stabilizing straps. Failure to properly support non-trailer loads will void the product warranty.
Periodically check the receiver hitch to ensure that all fasteners are tight and that all structural components are sound.
The kit includes 6 M12 hex bolts (M12 - 1.25 x 40) and 6 conical toothed washers (1/2"). These fasteners are used to secure the hitch to the existing weldnuts in the vehicle's frame rails. The hitch weighs 41.5 lbs.
The Curt 120653 is designed for use with ball mount part number D-224 / 45016. Euro mount options are also available: part number 45571 (1-7/8" ball) and part number 45562 (2" ball).
If an underbody panel is present, it must be removed first. After installation, the underbody panel will be sandwiched between the hitch and the trunk pan and reattached. You will need to mark and trim the panel to allow the driver side plate to pass through before installation.
Yes, the exhaust assembly must be lowered for ease of installation. After the hitch is secured and torqued, the exhaust is raised back into position. Refer to the Rubber Isolator Removal Diagram in the manual for guidance.
The Rubber Isolator Removal Diagram is referenced in Installation Step 2 to guide you on how to lower the exhaust assembly. The diagram should be visible on the installation manual page, but the manual text does not provide detailed written instructions for this step.
The Weldnut Cleaning Diagram shows how to clean the existing weldnuts in the frame rails before installation. The weldnuts are pre-installed in both the driver and passenger side frame rails and must be cleaned before the hitch bolts are inserted. This step is required in Installation Step 3.
Slide the driver side plate through the slot trimmed in the underbody panel. Raise the hitch and underbody panel into position, aligning the bolt holes with the existing weldnuts on both the driver and passenger side frame rails. The underbody panel will be sandwiched between the hitch and the trunk pan.
Insert the M12 hex bolts with conical toothed washers through the hitch mounting holes and into the existing weldnuts in the frame rails. Secure them hand-tight first, then torque all M12 fasteners to 86 ft-lbs using a torque wrench.
The Underbody Trim Diagram 1 shows the trimming area is 12.50 inches wide by 2.75 inches tall. You must mark the panel for trimming and confirm fit before cutting. Some models have a lip that protrudes down (shown in Underbody Trim Diagram 2) which will also need to be trimmed.
Aviation shears are listed in the required tools and are the recommended tool for trimming the underbody panel. You must mark the panel and confirm fit before trimming.
You will need a 19mm socket to fit the M12 hex bolts. The socket should be used with a ratchet and 6" extension as listed in the required tools.
The hitch includes 6 M12 hex bolts with specifications M12 - 1.25 x 40 (metric thread pitch 1.25 mm, length 40 mm). Each bolt is paired with a 1/2" conical toothed washer.
The tongue weight capacity is 350 lbs. The hitch also has a trailer weight capacity of 3,500 lbs. Do not exceed your vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity.
