Whatever the next checkpoint is on your adventure -- whether it's getting your bike on the trail before sunrise or making it to the campground before dark -- CURT class 2 hitches let you Bring It with confidence. These receiver hitches are made to handle most light-duty towing applications and offer a custom fit for your vehicle. Typically used on full-size cars, crossovers, compact SUVs, minivans or even compact pickup trucks, a CURT class 2 trailer hitch complements the design of smaller vehicles. This particular class 2 hitch is made to be a custom hitch for certain years of the Chrysler 300, Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger (to verify vehicle compatibility, see application info). It offers a weight carrying capacity of 3,500 lbs. GTW and 350 lbs. TW. Class 2 trailer hitches can typically be used to tow a variety of lightweight trailers, such as a small utility trailer, small fishing boat trailer or popup camper (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest weight capacity of any towing component). They are also perfect for adding cargo space to your vehicle with a bike rack or cargo carrier. This class 2 hitch features a 1-1/4" receiver tube to accept a ball mount shank or other hitch-mounted accessory. For safety, it is tested in accordance with SAE J684. A custom trailer hitch design requires extra care, and as such, CURT class 2 hitches are engineered using real vehicles and hands-on research. We use high-strength steel, robotic welding and rigorous testing to produce hitches that are built to fit your lifestyle. To ensure that each hitch will be a reliable extension of your vehicle, we also finish our hitches in a co-curing of liquid A-coat and black powder coat, giving them long-lasting rust and wear resistance.
Trailer hitch weight ratings are limited to vehicle manufacturer's stated capacities
Not compatible for use with vertical hanging bicycles (bike racks that require the bicycles to be hung / mounted vertically)
Includes installation hardware

Yes, CURT 12064 is designed for 2011-present Dodge Charger, Chrysler 300C, and Chrysler 300S sedans and coupes. The installation procedure differs slightly between 2011-2014 and 2015+ models due to changes in the exhaust weldnut configuration, but the hitch fits all model years in this range.
Yes, CURT 12064 fits 2015 and newer Chrysler 300C models. The 2015+ installation differs from earlier years: 2015 models have no existing weldnuts and require fishwiring 3 carriage bolts on the passenger side instead of 2 on the passenger side and 1 on the driver side.
Yes, CURT 12064 fits both V6 and V8 models. The installation procedure differs at the muffler reattachment step: V6 models use a single nut on an exhaust clamp, while V8 models use 2 nuts with springs. Both engine types use the same hitch hardware and torque specifications.
CURT 12064 has a gross load capacity of 3,500 lbs trailer weight and 350 lbs tongue weight when used as a weight-carrying hitch. However, you must never exceed your vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity, which may be lower than these ratings.
Required tools are: ratchet, torque wrench, 6-inch socket extension, socket universal joint, 13mm socket, 15mm socket, 19mm socket, and 3/4-inch socket. A torque wrench is essential because fasteners must be torqued to specific values (110 lb-ft for 1/2-inch hardware and 79 lb-ft for M12 hardware).
The manual does not specify whether battery disconnection is required. Contact CURT Technical Support at 877-287-8634 for guidance on this step.
Yes, you must remove the driver side muffler to install CURT 12064. The muffler is removed in step 4 after removing exhaust isolators and the muffler attachment hardware. The muffler is reinstalled in step 9 after the hitch is secured.
Fishwiring is a technique used to route 1/2-inch carriage bolts and CM-SP40 spacers through access holes in the frame rail. The bolts are pulled through existing holes (2 on the passenger side and 1 on the driver side for 2011-2014 models; 3 on the passenger side for 2015+ models). The manual references a fishwire technique diagram but does not provide detailed written instructions; contact CURT Technical Support at 877-287-8634 if clarification is needed.
Raise the hitch by first placing the passenger side of the hitch over the passenger side muffler, then raise the driver side of the hitch. This sequence ensures proper alignment before securing with hardware.
Torque 1/2-inch hardware to 110 lb-ft and M12 hardware to 79 lb-ft. The 1/2-inch hardware includes the carriage bolts and hex flange nuts; the M12 hardware includes the supplied M12x1.75 carriage bolts with conical toothed washers that attach to existing weldnuts.
No, drilling is not required. CURT 12064 uses existing holes in the frame rail and existing weldnuts (on 2011-2014 models) or existing holes (on 2015+ models). The manual explicitly states "NO DRILLING REQUIRED."
Safety glasses must be worn at all times while installing this product. Additionally, the manual recommends reading all instructions thoroughly before beginning, using proper tools, and considering having 2 people assist with installation to ease the process.
All non-trailer loads (wheel-less loads) applied to CURT 12064 must be supported by CURT 18050 stabilizing straps. Failure to properly support non-trailer loads will void the product warranty. The manual recommends the use of 18050 stabilizing straps for all non-trailer loads.
Periodically check the receiver hitch to ensure all fasteners are tight and all structural components are sound. The manual does not specify a maintenance schedule or inspection interval beyond this periodic check.
CURT 12064 is designed for use with ball mount #D-20 / 45520. Euro mount options are available: #45561 (1-7/8-inch ball) and #45562 (2-inch ball).
CURT 12064 includes: 4 pieces of 1/2-inch fishwire, 3 M12x1.75x40 carriage bolts (class 10.9, zinc-plated), 3 conical toothed washers (1/2-inch), 4 serrated flange nuts (1/2-13 UNC, grade 8, zinc-plated), 4 square hole spacers (0.188 x 1.00 x 3.00 inches), and 4 carriage bolts (1/2-13 UNC, 1-3/4 inches, grade 8, zinc-plated). Note: not all hardware will be used; the quantity used depends on the model year (2011-2014 vs. 2015+).
Two people may be required to ease installation. The manual notes that using proper tools will greatly improve the quality of the install and reduce the time required.
You must remove: (2) exhaust isolators near the muffler on the driver and passenger side, (2) rubber isolators from the exhaust pipe, and the driver side muffler/tube. On V6 models, remove the nut from the exhaust clamp holding the driver side muffler. On V8 models, remove (2) nuts with springs attaching the driver side muffler. Save all removed fasteners for reinstallation.
On V6 models: slide the driver side muffler/tube back into position against the stud on the exhaust system and secure the clamp with the nut removed in step 3. On V8 models: reattach the driver side muffler onto the studs with the nuts and springs removed in step 3. Then raise the exhaust back into position and reattach the (2) exhaust isolators and (4) exhaust hangers.
CURT 12064 fits 2011-present Dodge Charger, Chrysler 300C, and Chrysler 300S sedans and coupes. Installation differs slightly between 2011-2014 and 2015+ models.
