This particular kit fits certain years of the Porsche Cayenne and Volkswagen Touareg (see application info to verify vehicle compatibility). It provides a weight carrying capacity of 7,500 lbs. GTW and 750 lbs. TW. CURT class 3 trailer hitches are typically used to attach and haul utility trailers, boat trailers, campers, snowmobile or ATV haulers and more (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest-rated towing component). Each class 3 hitch has a 2" receiver tube and is tested in accordance with SAE J684 for safety. To ensure that CURT class 3 receiver hitches have what it takes for serious trailering, they are designed using a hands-on approach and are constructed with rugged, high-strength steel and precise welding. We also protect our class 3 hitches in a co-cured finish of liquid A-coat and black powder coat for superior resistance to rust, chipping and UV damage.

Remove the mud flap from behind each rear tire by unfastening five torx head screws from each flap. Note that the underside fasteners have a nut attached, so you will need to account for these when removing the flap.
First, remove the fastener that holds the wheel well trim to the fascia. Then carefully pop off the wheel well trim. Note that only the rear half of the trim needs to be removed. After this, remove four torx head fasteners from under the wheel well trim.
On a VW Touareg, remove the vehicle tail lights by loosening the nut from inside the vehicle using an 11mm socket. The driver side nut is accessible through a circular plastic clip and the passenger side through a rectangular clip. Carefully slide the light out and unfasten the electrical clip.
On a Porsche Cayenne, remove the panel on the left side of the light. Then remove the panel cover to reveal the nuts on the inside of the tail light. Remove the nuts and carefully slide out the light and unfasten the electrical clip.
After tail light removal, remove two torx head fasteners and one push fastener from each side. To remove the push fastener, use a small punch or equivalent to push the center of the push fastener down, then pry it up.
Carefully remove the bumper cover by popping the sides off first, then pulling it straight back. This step comes after all the fasteners and trim pieces have been removed.
