This class 1 trailer hitch and ball mount combination is designed for a custom fit on select years of the Mazda CX-3 (see application info to verify fitment). The hitch integrates with the vehicle's frame and provides a useful and dependable 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" receiver. The receiver is perfect for attaching the included ball mount and towing a small trailer, or for adding cargo space with a hitch-mounted cargo carrier, bike rack or other accessory. This particular class 1 hitch is rated for 2,000 pounds gross trailer weight and 200 pounds tongue weight (never exceed the lowest-rated towing component). The ball mount included with this trailer hitch quickly and easily installs into the hitch receiver and has a 3/4" trailer ball hole (trailer ball not included). It can be mounted in the rise or drop position to promote level towing. Like all CURT custom hitches, this class 1 hitch is protected with our co-cured finishing process. It is descaled for a smooth surface, immersed in liquid A-coat for rust resistance inside and out, covered with a durable black powder coat and finally co-cured for an industry-leading rust, chip and UV-resistant shield. No matter where you're headed or which season of the year you’re towing in, this CURT hitch is equipped for long-lasting resilience to the elements. It features an open-back receiver for easy cleaning, and it comes with all the hardware necessary for the installation.

Yes. Step 1 requires lowering the exhaust by removing four isolators and two push fasteners from the bumper cover. These fasteners must be saved for reinstallation in Step 5. The exhaust is raised and isolators reinstalled after the hitch is secured.
Two people may be required to ease installation. If you are hesitant to undertake this task on your own, contact an authorized CURT installer for additional assistance.
1. Lower exhaust by removing four isolators and two push fasteners from bumper cover (save fasteners). 2. Remove two bottom M10 nuts from bumper beam (save nuts). 3. Raise hitch into position and loosely secure with the M10 nuts removed in step 2. 4. Install spacer between hitch and vehicle recovery loop, secure with 1/2" carriage bolt and 1/2" flange nut. 5. Tighten M10 bolts to 45 ft-lbs and 1/2" bolt to 90 ft-lbs, then reinstall push fasteners and raise exhaust with rubber isolators.
The CM-SP32 spacer (.188 x 1.50 x 2.00" round hole) is installed between the hitch and the vehicle recovery loop in Step 4. It is secured with the 1/2" carriage bolt and 1/2" flange nut.
Tighten M10 bolts to 45 ft-lbs and tighten the 1/2" carriage bolt to 90 ft-lbs. These torque values must be applied in Step 5 after the hitch is positioned and the spacer is installed.
A 17mm socket is required for the M10 bolts. These bolts are tightened to 45 ft-lbs.
A 3/4" socket is required for the 1/2" carriage bolt. This bolt is tightened to 90 ft-lbs.

All non-trailer loads applied to this product must be supported by CURT 18050 stabilizing straps. Failure to properly support non-trailer loads will void the product warranty. See the CURT catalog or visit www.curtmfg.com for further information on stabilizing straps.
Never exceed your vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity. This hitch is rated for a maximum of 2,000 lbs trailer weight and 200 lbs tongue weight, but your vehicle's manufacturer may have a lower limit that must be observed.
