They make it easy to hitch up and Bring It, offering a vehicle-specific fit and the weight capacity to handle a variety of trailers. Custom class 3 hitches are the most common type of receiver hitch for pickup trucks and SUVs. Because of their weight range, they are also found on full-size cars, crossovers and minivans. Each custom-fit class 3 hitch package is made for vehicle-specific mounting. This particular kit fits certain years of the Nissan Qashqai and Rogue Sport (see application info to verify vehicle compatibility). It provides a weight carrying capacity of 3,500 lbs. GTW and 525 lbs. TW. CURT class 3 trailer hitches are typically used to attach and haul utility trailers, boat trailers, campers, snowmobile or ATV haulers and more (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest-rated towing component). Each class 3 hitch has a 2" receiver tube and is tested in accordance with SAE J684 for safety. To ensure that CURT class 3 receiver hitches have what it takes for serious trailering, they are designed using a hands-on approach and are constructed with rugged, high-strength steel and precise welding. We also protect our class 3 hitches in a co-cured finish of liquid A-coat and black powder coat for superior resistance to rust, chipping and UV damage.

The CURT 13377 is rated for a maximum trailer weight of 3,500 lbs. and a tongue weight of 525 lbs. when used as a weight-carrying hitch. Never exceed your vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity.
You will need: a ratchet, torque wrench, 10mm socket, 18mm socket, 19mm socket, 10mm boxed end wrench, 6-inch socket extension, die grinder, and safety glasses. The manual indicates this is an easy installation.
No drilling is required. However, you will need to use a die grinder to enlarge an existing access hole on the driver side to 1.125 inches.
Two people may be required to ease installation. If you are hesitant to undertake this task on your own, contact an authorized CURT installer for additional assistance.
You must remove the emissions canister (held by 2 nuts) and the tow loop (held by 6 M12 bolts on the passenger side). The tow loop should be returned to the vehicle owner. The emissions canister is reinstalled after the tow loop is removed.
Torque M12 hardware to 79 ft-lbs. and 1/2-inch hardware to 110 ft-lbs.
The kit includes: (1) M12×1.25 hex head cap screw (part 10-10277), (1) 1/2-inch conical tooth washer (part 30-00149), (2) 1/2-13 UNC carriage bolts 1.5 inches long (part 10-10287), (2) 0.250×1.00×2.00-inch square hole spacers (part CM-SP12), (2) 1/2-13 UNC serrated flange nuts (part 20-00062), and (2) 1/2-inch fishwires (part 1_2 FISHWIRE).
Thread the two 1/2-inch fishwires through the carriage bolts and spacers, then feed them through the enlarged access hole in the driver side frame rail. Once the hitch is raised into position, feed the fishwires through the rearmost holes on the hitch, then remove the fishwires. The carriage bolts and spacers remain in place to help position the hitch.
1. Remove emissions canister (2 nuts). 2. Remove tow loop (6 M12 bolts on passenger side) and reinstall emissions canister. 3. Enlarge driver side access hole to 1.125 inches using die grinder. 4. Thread fishwires through carriage bolts and spacers, then through the access hole. 5. Raise hitch into position, feed fishwires through rearmost hitch holes, remove fishwires, and fasten hitch using M12 bolts and 1/2-inch hardware. 6. Torque all fasteners to specification.
Wear safety glasses at all times while installing this product. Read all instructions thoroughly before beginning installation. If you are hesitant to undertake this task, contact an authorized CURT installer.
Periodically check the receiver hitch to ensure all fasteners are tight and all structural components are sound. This should be done regularly to maintain safe operation.
CURT Manufacturing warrants this product to be free of defects in material and workmanship at the time of retail purchase by the original purchaser. If defective, CURT may repair or replace the product at their option when returned prepaid with proof of purchase. Alteration, misuse, or improper installation voids the warranty.
The CURT 13377 complies with safety specifications and requirements for connecting devices and towing systems of the state of New York, V.E.S.C. Regulation V-5 and SAE J684.

Bending the heat shield slightly will ease access to one of the two nuts holding the emissions canister, which makes step 2 (removing the tow loop) easier to complete.
Three of the six M12 bolts removed from the tow loop in step 2 are reused to fasten the hitch to the vehicle in step 5. One additional M12 bolt is also used, along with a 1/2-inch conical tooth washer and two 1/2-inch hex flanged nuts.
