This class 1 trailer hitch and ball mount combination is designed for a custom fit on select years of the Lexus GS300 and GS350 (see application info to verify fitment). The hitch integrates with the vehicle's frame and provides a useful and dependable 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" receiver. The receiver is perfect for attaching the included ball mount and towing a small trailer, or for adding cargo space with a hitch-mounted cargo carrier, bike rack or other accessory. This particular class 1 hitch is rated for 2,000 pounds gross trailer weight and 200 pounds tongue weight (never exceed the lowest-rated towing component). The ball mount included with this trailer hitch quickly and easily installs into the hitch receiver and has a 3/4" trailer ball hole (trailer ball not included). It can be mounted in the rise or drop position to promote level towing. Like all CURT custom hitches, this class 1 hitch is protected with our co-cured finishing process. It is descaled for a smooth surface, immersed in liquid A-coat for rust resistance inside and out, covered with a durable black powder coat and finally co-cured for an industry-leading rust, chip and UV-resistant shield. No matter where you're headed or which season of the year you’re towing in, this CURT hitch is equipped for long-lasting resilience to the elements. It features an open-back receiver for easy cleaning, and it comes with all the hardware necessary for the installation.

Two modifications are required: (1) Remove the lower alignment stud from the bumper beam location using a rotary tool, and (2) Trim the center of the underbody panel using a rotary tool. The trim dimensions are 4.25 inches by 2.38 inches, as shown in the trim diagram. These modifications are permanent.
All M8 hardware must be torqued to 23 ft-lbs. These are the bolts that secure the hitch and bumper beam to the vehicle.
The removal sequence is: (1) Remove one screw, one push fastener from behind the rear tire, and one push fastener from the wheel well. (2) Remove one screw hidden behind the wheel well at the top of the fascia and pry out the plastic clip with a flat head screwdriver. (3) Remove the small plastic panel between the tail light and trunk opening and remove the exposed screw. Repeat steps 1-3 on the other side. (4) Remove eight push fasteners from around the rear of the fascia. (5) Carefully remove the bumper cover by popping the sides off first, then pulling straight back. Disconnect the electrical connector under the driver side tail light. (6) Remove and set aside the foam for reinstall.
Reinstall the bumper cover by reassembling all components removed in steps 1-6 in reverse order. This includes reinstalling the foam, plastic panels, push fasteners, screws, plastic clips, and reconnecting the electrical connector under the driver side tail light.
All non-trailer loads applied to this hitch must be supported by Curt 18050 stabilizing straps. Failure to properly support non-trailer loads will void the product warranty. Curt recommends the use of 18050 stabilizing straps for all non-trailer (wheel-less) loads.
