The options are endless! DRAW-TITE Class 3 Custom Trailer Hitches come complete with all the mounting hardware needed for installation and are backed by a nationwide lifetime limited warranty. So, whether you are headed out to the campground, the lake, or the bike trails, or you are tackling a project at home and need to haul the materials home, choose DRAW-TITE and travel with confidence knowing your setup is connected with the security only DRAW-TITE can provide. DRAW-TITE: North America?s Favorite Hitch

Draw-Tite has designed custom-fit trailer hitches since 1946 and is one of North America's most widely fitted hitch brands. Receiver hitches use solid all-welded construction and low-profile designs that follow modern vehicle contours, install with minimal bumper cutting or drilling, meet or exceed V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards, and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Draw-Tite has been leading custom-fit trailer hitch design and engineering since its founding in 1946, and it remains one of the most widely fitted hitch brands in North America. The company's stated approach is straightforward: every hitch is tested rigorously so that it performs well beyond published industry standards, a philosophy it markets as Tested Tough. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Fulton, Bulldog, Tekonsha, Bargman and Wesbar.
Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

The maximum gross trailer weight is 4500 lb (2043 kg) and the maximum tongue weight is 675 lb (306 kg) for both weight-carrying and weight-distributing hitch types. Do not exceed the lower of your towing vehicle manufacturer's rating or these limits.
Required tools are: ratchet, torque wrench, 15 mm socket, 6" socket extension, T15 Torx bit socket, exhaust removal pliers, and safety glasses. A torque wrench is essential because proper torque (50 ft-lb) is needed to keep the hitch secure when towing.
Yes, the exhaust must be lowered. Step 1 requires removing two screws from the rear fascia, removing bolts from the rear exhaust hanger brackets, removing the rubber isolator, and lowering the exhaust one side at a time. The exhaust is then raised back into place after the hitch is installed (Step 4).
Yes. The manual states: "If you do not feel comfortable performing this installation on your own or are in need of assistance, please contact a professional installer." The average installation time for professional installers is 35 minutes.
The installation sequence is: (1) Lower the muffler and exhaust; (2) Install hardware using pull wire to feed fasteners through frame attachment holes (3 per side); (3) Raise the hitch into place and loosely install items 3 and 4; (4) Raise the muffler back into place; (5) Torque all 7/16-14 Gr5 hardware to 50 ft-lb (68 N·m).
Three fasteners are installed per side (6 total). Each fastener consists of a 7/16-14 x 1.5 GR5 carriage bolt, a 1/4 x 7/8 x 3 block, a 7/16 conical tooth washer, and a 7/16-14 hex nut.
All 7/16-14 Grade 5 hardware must be torqued to 50 ft-lb (68 N·m). Proper torque is essential to keep the hitch secure to the vehicle when towing.
The pull wire (part number 5481, 7/16 inch) is used to feed the hardware through the frame attachment holes and pull it into place. The coiled end is fed through an attachment hole in the frame and out of the access hole, with items 1 and 2 (the block and conical washer) attached. Leaving the pull wire attached until the hitch is raised into place helps prevent the hardware from being pushed back into the frame.
No. When raising the hitch into place in Step 3, items 3 and 4 should be installed loosely. All fasteners are fully torqued to 50 ft-lb (68 N·m) only in Step 5, after the muffler has been raised back into place.
The conical tooth washer (7/16 inch, part number 01292007) must be installed with the teeth side against the hitch. This is shown in Figure 1 of the installation instructions.
The manual recommends spraying lubricant on the rubber hangers to make them slide off the metal pins more easily. The specific type of lubricant is not specified in the manual.
If extra clearance is needed, pull the wire harness off the passenger side frame. The manual notes that this harness must be reinstalled after the hitch is in place.
Always wear safety glasses when installing the hitch. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch. Be careful that the exhaust is supported before removing rubber hangers. Raise the exhaust one side at a time to maintain support.
Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. Proper torque is needed to keep the hitch secure to the vehicle when towing.
If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes.
The maximum tongue weight is 675 lb (306 kg) for both weight-carrying and weight-distributing hitch types. Do not exceed this limit or your towing vehicle manufacturer's rating, whichever is lower.
Load the trailer heavier in front. This helps maintain proper weight distribution and stability when towing.
If excess sway occurs, take your foot off the gas pedal and hold the steering wheel as steady as possible. Do not apply your brakes and do not speed up.
Slow down when towing and never exceed any posted speed limit. Always wear your seatbelt.
No. The manual explicitly states: "DO NOT cut, weld or modify this receiver." Modifications will compromise the structural integrity and safety of the hitch.
