The Tekonsha Brakeman IV digital trailer brake controller provides safety and connection when you need it most. As a time-based controller, the Brakeman IV is a great choice for basic, light-duty towing needs. This compact controller works by electronically connecting your vehicle and your trailer. When you hit the brakes in your tow vehicle, it generates an output signal that ramps up, or increases over a period of time, applying braking power to your trailer at a fixed rate. The Brakeman IV has up-front buttons so you can easily adjust power output, the sync ? or aggressiveness with which the controller applies the brakes, and engage manual override to help you brake safely when an unexpected stop pops up. It also works with electric or electric over hydraulic braking systems, and features advanced internal circuit protection, real time comprehensive diagnostics, and short circuit protection. Because the Brakeman IV is a time-based controller, there?s no requirement that it be positioned in the direction of travel; it can be installed anywhere you like as long as it is within reach of the driver. Plus, the Plug & Play feature allows for quick and easy connection with your vehicle?s wiring. The Brakeman IV trailer brake controller works with1-4 axle trailers, comes with all the mounting hardware needed for installation, and is backed by a limited lifetime warranty.

Reese Towpower delivers the towing hardware most drivers reach for: receiver hitches across multiple classes, ball mounts, hitch balls, pins, clips, safety chains, wiring and hitch accessories. Backed by a towing pedigree dating to 1952, the line uses all-welded construction and corrosion-resistant finishes, with custom-fit hitches matched to vehicle make, model and year.
The Reese story starts in 1952, when Margaret Reese challenged her husband TJ to do something about travel trailers rocking whenever anyone walked through them. A few years later he built the first pair of stabilising jacks. The idea was simple and it worked, and it changed how the RV industry thought about trailer stability. From that beginning the Reese name grew into a full towing line covering fifth wheel hitches, pin boxes, weight distribution systems and accessories, and Reese Towpower carries that engineering into the products most owners buy off the shelf.
Receiver trailer hitches anchor the range, offered across the classes needed for everything from a small utility trailer to livestock and job-site loads. Construction is all-welded rather than bolted at the stress points, and each hitch is tested against published standards for strength and safety. Custom-fit hitches are engineered to the vehicle manufacturer's weight specifications for a given model and model year, so mounting points line up with existing frame holes and the finished installation sits where it should. Exclusive paint finishes resist rust and corrosion through years of road salt, and hitches carry a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
No towing setup is complete without the connecting hardware, and Reese Towpower covers it comprehensively. Ball mounts come in fixed, adjustable and specialty forms with a range of rises and drops to level a trailer properly. Hitch balls are offered in the standard diameters and shank sizes, matched to coupler and load rating.
The towing accessories line fills in everything else: hitch pins and clips, locks, receiver tube covers, and safety chains rated to the load being pulled. For most drivers this is where a towing purchase actually begins, and having the whole chain of components from one engineering source keeps ratings consistent end to end.

Yes, the 3024-037 is designed for Ram 1500, 2500, and 3500 vehicles. Your truck must have a factory electric brake control harness with a 4-pin connector located underneath the dash, right of the steering column. If your vehicle does not have this factory harness, this adapter will not work.
Yes, if you are installing part number 3024-P only, you must use additional kit 30235-P to ensure compliance with California regulations. Failure to use the additional kit may result in independent liability for the user.
No tools are required for installation of the 3024-037 adapter itself. However, you will need to follow the electric brake control manufacturer's installation instructions, which may require additional tools depending on the specific brake control unit being installed.
The electric brake control harness connector is located underneath the dash, right of the steering column. The harness will be taped to another harness. You are looking for a 4-pin connector that will mate with the adapter.
First, plug the brake control adapter into the mating receptacle on the backside of the brake control unit itself. Only after this connection is made, plug the adapter into the vehicle's electric brake control harness connector (the 4-pin connector located underneath the dash, right of the steering column). Then follow all brake control manufacturer's installation instructions.
Do not exceed the lower of your towing manufacturer's rating or 8 brakes (24 amps) maximum for 4 axles. Overloading the circuit can cause fires. Consult your vehicle's owner's manual and instruction sheet for additional information about your specific towing capacity.
Wear safety glasses and use all safety precautions during installation. Read and follow all vehicle warnings and installation instructions before beginning. Complete the installation per the electric brake control manufacturer's instructions and perform all test procedures as instructed by that manufacturer.
The 3024-037 fits Ram 1500, 2500, and 3500 trucks equipped with a factory electric brake control harness.
No tools are required for the adapter installation itself.
Yes, if installing part number 3024-P, you must use additional kit 30235-P for California compliance.
Maximum 24 amps (8 brakes on 4 axles), or the lower of your towing manufacturer's rating. Do not exceed this to prevent circuit overload and fire risk.
Plug the adapter into the brake control unit's receptacle first, then connect it to the vehicle's 4-pin harness connector under the dash.
