This fits: 2020-2025 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD Excluding factory receiver
When we came to the limits of towing capacity, we wanted to know what else was out there. What could we discover off the beaten path? So, we kept going. CURT class 5 Xtra Duty hitches begin a class of their own, beyond class 4 and beyond anything the standards dictate. They are designed for the hard road where only full-size pickup trucks, vans and SUVs dare to tread. They are capable of pulling almost any heavy-duty trailer, including toy haulers, dump trailers, logging trailers, small yacht trailers and more (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest weight capacity of any towing component). This particular Xtra Duty class 5 trailer hitch offers a gross trailer weight capacity of 17,000 lbs. and an extra-high tongue weight capacity of 2,550 lbs. It features a 2" x 2" receiver tube opening to accept a ball mount or hitch-mounted accessory, such as a cargo carrier or winch mount. It is designed to be a custom-fit trailer hitch for certain years of the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500 HD and 3500 HD (will not fit with factory receiver; to verify compatibility with your vehicle, see application info). For a little extra towing power and stability, this class 5 hitch can also be used in combination with a weight distributing hitch. It is rated for 17,000 lbs. WD and 2,550 lbs. WDTW. In our drive to create a more powerful hitch, CURT has not neglected the finer details. Our class 5 trailer hitches are welded with precision and go through multiple stages of cleaning to create a smooth surface that is ready to accept our co-cured finish. To protect them from corrosion, chipping and UV damage, these hitches are immersed in a liquid A-coat and then finished in a high-quality black carbide powder coat. They come with grade-8 mounting hardware for solid installation.
Trailer hitch weight ratings are limited to vehicle manufacturer's stated capacities

No. The CURT 15007 installation requires no drilling. All mounting uses existing frame rail holes or fishwire technique to thread bolts through frame rails.
You will need: a ratchet, torque wrench, and the following sockets: 13mm, 21mm, 3/4", and a 10" socket extension. A full tools reference guide is available at curtmfg.com/trailer-hitch-installation.
The kit includes: 2 straps, 2 carriage bolts 1/2"-13 x 1-3/4" (grade 8), 6 carriage bolts 1/2"-13 x 1-1/2" (grade 8), 4 hex bolts M14-2 x 45mm (CL 10.9), 8 serrated-flange nuts 1/2"-13, 4 conical-toothed washers 9/16", 4 spacers 1/4" x 1" x 3", and 2 fishwire tools 1/2".
Yes. You must unhook the spare tire safety strap and lower the spare tire before beginning installation. The spare tire is reinstalled after the hitch is fully secured in Step 4.
Remove two bumper bolts from the bottom of each frame rail (four total) and the heat shield bolt from the bottom of the passenger-side frame rail. If your vehicle does not have forward-most bolts, the fishwire technique is used to thread the provided carriage bolts and spacers into the holes instead.
The fishwire tool guides bolts and spacers through the vehicle frame rails to prevent loss of hardware inside the frame. Insert the coiled end of the fishwire through the hitch mounting hole and out the access hole, pass it through the spacer, thread the bolt into the coil, kink the wire to keep the spacer separate from the bolt, then pull the fishwire, spacer and bolt back through the frame and out the mounting hole.
The conical-toothed washers must be oriented correctly between the hex bolt and the hitch side plate. The diagram on page 2 shows the proper orientation: the washer sits between the hex bolt and the hitch side plate, with the conical teeth facing the hitch.
1. Lower the spare tire and remove vehicle bolts from frame rails and heat shield. 2. Fishwire the forward-most 1/2"-13 x 1-3/4" carriage bolts and spacers into the frame. 3. Fishwire the rearmost 1/2"-13 x 1-1/2" carriage bolts and spacers, then raise the hitch into position and secure with M14 hex bolts, conical-toothed washers and serrated-flange nuts. 4. Attach the straps to the side plates using 1/2"-13 x 1-1/2" carriage bolts and serrated-flange nuts, securing them to the frame rails. 5. Torque all hardware and reinstall the spare tire.
Torque all M14 hardware to 126 ft-lbs. and all 1/2" hardware to 110 ft-lbs. Use a torque wrench to ensure proper tightness and prevent damage to the product or vehicle.
Safety glasses should be worn at all times while installing this product. Read all instructions thoroughly before beginning installation. Never exceed your vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity.
Periodic inspection of the trailer hitch should be performed to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight and structural components are secure. Check that all bolts maintain their torque specifications (M14 hardware at 126 ft-lbs. and 1/2" hardware at 110 ft-lbs.).
